The Usual Suspects, the developers of the DSP56300 emulator, have dropped Nodal Red 2x, a new Synthesizer plugin recreating Clavia Nord Lead 2x.

Many well-known 90s virtual analog synthesizers are based on the Motorola DSP5630 DSP. For example, the Access Virus series A, B, C, TI, the Clavia Nord Lead 3, Waldorf Q, or the Novation Nova synthesizers.

The project’s core is, once again, the DSP56300 emulation plugin. It’s available as a free download.

can someone please quickly explain how the hell I install these plugins? I see they are emulated, I think I am missing something. I see these all the time and always wanted to try it out. Please & Thank you!

- Install AU plug (or VST)
- Drag the 'nord_lead_2x.bin' file inside AU folder (or VST)

Says invalid plugin in Cubase 14.10 for all the Usual Suspects releases but they all work in reaper but not Cubase 14 weird?

Except.. on Bitwig many presets appear with a number instead of their names.

At first this was very underwhelming to me, mainly because most of the presets sound absolutely horrible, but after tweaking with it for a week something finally "clicked" .

There is a beast thats hidden in this synth but when it finally appears, damn !
