to create a custom profile, this website could work : https://www.autoeq.app/

On the website, select headphones models. Click advanced on the Profile select "Harman over-ear 2018" as target on the profile. Then select "EqualizerAPO ParametricEq" for the EQ app and select sample rate. Recreate the curves with the suggested curve (Freq, Q, Gain, Preamp).

Example : screenshot

*I tested the "Flat" profiles and it's weird, recommend to go with Harman 2018 because that's kinda the industry standard for Headphones correction and it seems like this plugin (and other Headphone correction plugins ever) uses the Harman curve as it's base "flat" settings. Proof is when you select "Harman" as Headphone Targets it turns to "no emulation" suggesting it's correction was based on a Harman curve.

At 0% Environment settings on the plugins set to Harman Headphones target (equal no target, the same with SoundID Reference) the custom curves created with AutoEQ website sounds atleast 95% identical to SoundID Reference with a profile of same headphones. It works.

After you got the EQ Curve all right, this is the best settings that works for me for headphones. Screenshot. Better than SoundID Reference without a doubt.

A video about Harman curves -> video

EDIT : apologies for too much edits/correction because I'm learning as I go so far the updated info above is proven to be the one I get the best results. Been listening to all my reference music for 1 hour using the System-Wide app and it works great too, compared it with SoundID Reference System-Wide that is a little too excited on the high end sometimes, Realphones with custom curves has smoother high-end with the more or less same brightness.

I actually emailed them and asked them about this before because I was curious, and here is their response

No, we don't use the Harman Curve. The correction aligns the frequency response to a flat line. Then, room emulation is applied on this response, which includes a boost in low frequencies and a decrease in high frequencies

Hello Stevie, hey I have a question..(first of all, your contribution is great). I have created a profile for my Sony Mdr 7506, but when I copy all the parameters and apply them in RealPhones, the sound shifts to the right, meaning I hear the singer as if they were singing 30%+ to the right. Why does this happen? On the other hand, I have tried Sonarworks and also a Waves plugin that I can't remember the name of, and when I apply the profile for my headphones, it has more brightness, so I am somewhat confused, which profile should I trust? I would appreciate it if you could clarify this doubt for me, greetings!

about the sound shifted to the side, you might have accidentally inserted the gain amount on the "Balance" knob, the Gain is the slider. Look for it carefully. I did the same mistake at first. Probably that.

it depends on the headphones, some headphones are just dark by nature, so the correction will make everything brighter. In your case it's weird because I quick google the freq response for the headphones and it seems like it's excited at the 10kHz (which is good for monitoring headphones IMO) the profile should make it darker. not brighter.

For me I calibrated my monitor and room, so as long as the headphone correction get me in the ball park of the balance it's all good. Most of the time if the correction isn't right, the stereo image wont translate correctly especially on a really good, grammy winning records, Serban Ganea, Manny Marroquin etc, if the correction is accurate, you can hear all the space, reverb, room and everything suddenly bloomed out nicely. The perception of space is clear and the instrument separation can be heard clearly.

That's just my way of doing it all these years, I have a playlist of songs that I know every single part of it, if the headphone profile is correct, it will translate as I expected. It does with the Realphones using custom profiles, I ditched Sonarworks for now. I dont really mix on headphones these days but it's nice to have it.

Hello Stevie, good job by the way,
What i got from that website "Autoeq.app" is a correction Eq profile/curve of my HD 6XX based on the Harman profile (target) i chose. So when i created a custom profile on Realfones with it, it sounds weird compared to the profile from the Trial and very far from the result i get with Sonarwrks SoundID & Morphit.
What do you advice? Thanks

turn off the Headphone Target section 1st on the bottom.

double check if the all the EQ points are correct, if they are maybe try the other Harman or the "Flat" from the AutoEQ site. I tried the Flat and it's weird with my headphones, maybe it will work with yours.

I'm not 100% sure about the accuracy, I found my best settings at 80% mix plus some environment and tilt on the brightness. I just compare it with the SoundID and my calibrate monitor using my ref songs that I know really well and find the balance that I like and move on. For my personal usage, it works, but if you are aiming for accuracy maybe stick to the something closer to the trial version, because they probably tested that and it's their approved curve.

one more thing, im curious do you get better result with curve correction using that headphones ? from what I can gather although it's not "flat" by nature, the Sennheiser openback 6xx is commonly known as "ideal" headphones freq response for mixing and I read reviews everywhere that most of the time one would get a better result without any headphone correction app with that headphones.

πŸ™ Thank you so much for the quick reply.
**My bad.

The Correction 0-100% does the trick.
I will let u know shortly what percentage i find close to the trial Profile for my 6XX shorlty.

And Yes, i got good results with SoundID and Morphit correction, i mostly need realphone for the emulations.

Let me think out loud, let's see... how about downloading the trial mode and saving the profiles, and then installing this version?

I tried in various ways, but I couldn't find where it saves the profiles, neither in programs data, nor in documents, nor in users, nor in public documents. What I saw in the Mocha exe is that it says "edit 1999"; there must be something related around there. I compressed both versions of Mocha, the original one, and played with the files, but no, it doesn't block or anything like that. In fact, you can restore to the trial version, but when you put the Mocha files, especially the .exe, the profiles disappear, and only the generic ones remain. Maybe something related to reg edit? The truth is that my knowledge is limited. Mostly, I just tinker around out of curiosity. Anyway, I wasn't successful; I'll see if I try something later. But it doesn't block, that's for sure. You can try it confidently; it doesn't block
