B-But what's the point of this when we have APO or the perfectly good plugins such as Crave2, Fab or even free options such as Lkjb, reaeq, IIEQ etc?

The "enviroment" simulation crap always sounds like a dog's fart so who in their right mind would want to use that anyhow.

I thought it was to simulate mixing with speakers.
I thought it was supposed to induce phase cancellations and bad reflections and let you hear your wife yelling at you better.
Maybe I am mistaken.

Deliberately introduce garbage atop a good signal. What a splendid idea.

This plugin makes me feel that all my headphones have a crappy frequency response, very often stubborn on the high and medium frequencies and very weak on the low and medium frequencies in general it's a bit destabilizing especially when we get to a point of neutrality close to 100% it calls into question a lot of pieces and music that we like through this or that pair of ears (headphones)

i also use the system wide driver to pimp my game sound with ASIO and Wideness.

very low cpu.

pretty cool what is all possible with this beside mixing.

I'd like MOCHA so much more if they didn't create an _uninstall folder in "C:\Program FIles".

Is this suppose to be better than Sienna? I guess not without the headphone corrections ...
  Member 13.07.2017 22

if its with their profile - yes, it is better than Sienna

without their profile - no, its not

I prefer my EQAPO to do correction profile like that
good music, good life, good problem

Hi all,

I followed Stevie's instructions and created a dSoniq preset for a Philips Fidelio X2HDR so you don't have to.
https://we.tl/t-VMAH3nkEVY

Some general remarks about the usability:
1. In order to listen to Realphone system wide you have to select in the Windows settings the playback/output source "Realphones System-Wide"
2. To edit a headphone you have to select "User Headphones - Manual Editing", then click on the ladder sign, then click "Edit Headphone"
3. You can enter the eq values if you double-click on them
4. By clicking on the three lines you can select "Switch to advanced mode" to be able to edit a lot more parameters especially for the room and more importantly, you can save presets
5. Correction represents the Wet effect of your headphone EQ parameters
6. You can let Realphones run at startup by clicking on the gear sign in the low right corner

It is sad that this doesn't seem to include headphone profiles, but I will wait as always. Hahaha...

Hi, I just signed up here to leave a useful tip about the (missing) profiles - my modest way of contributing to the community!

So here's what I think you should do: download the demo with the correction profile you want, and create IRs of the correction.

So here's how I do it: in Reaper, using Reaverb, you export a sweep impulse, and then use that sweep impulse to create the IR of the correction (you need to disable the room emulation, just leave the headphones correction on).

Then you import the resulting sweep into Reaverb, using the "deconvolve" option, which creates the IR file, and you save it.

I've tested an impulse created this way against the correction of Realphones, and it cancels perfectly.

Or maybe you can use some other tools to create the IRs, just look for tutorials online, I'm sure there are plenty.

You need to be careful of a few things while doing this:

- Pay attention so when you export the sweep it doesn't clip.
- You should test that it cancels with the plugin for yourself. For that you should export noise or a piece of music or whatever through both Realphones and the IR you created. The two resulting files should cancel (invert polarity on one), but for that to actually happen you should normalize both files to the exact same peak level, otherwise you may find differences in volume between both files prevent them from cancelling completely.
- You might want to create several IRs using this method, with different parameters: correction at 50, 75 and 100%, or values in between; different presence and pressure values, etc.

Once you have your IRs, you just run the IR in front of the plugin, et voilá, you can perfectly use all the room emulations and what not.

I hope you find this method useful, although it is a bit convoluted (pun intended).

Cheers!

As a new Reaper user, this solution def looks like a Reaper user solution in the most Reapest way possible.

Same for me. Install the trial version from the developer site over this (bad!) release and then you can uninstall both (trial and this).

My headphones have never sounded so good and I have never enjoyed working with headphones so much since I got this tool, honestly it's a must-have, the curves of headphones are so far from being flat and once 'we taste a certain neutrality it becomes very hard to do without it! Sincerely thank you Mocha
