the actual keyboard has 314 megabytes of read only memory and 2 gigs of pcm ram, of which only 1.3 gigs are used for the factory library. so somehow, they have managed to transform 1.6 gigabytes into 76 gigs. bloaty.

To be honest - no. I have tried several libraries made by norctrack (korg m3, fantom), and I delated it. It's good if You are really curious about what Kronos have inside and you get something like a demo of the workstation. Sounds are not even close to the original and can't be tweaked. You can give a shoot, but It's still like staring at the candy through the candy shop glass. For me - waste of time and spaaaace

I can't believe, it is one of the best keyboards of today, with a well-designed hyper-architecture, magnificent sounds, well thought out by professionals of the highest patent. In original Kronos , 'Drawbar Organ' with leslie is simply amazing. By the way, the only keyboard that's worth to buy today, but unfortunately have a very slow buffer for patch exchange.
It's unfortunate that have been made by norCTrack, as this company loads the size of the keyboards a lot, in which a keyboard having just 300 MB ends up inflating to 30 GB.
But since there is not something smarter in sampling and programming for this Korg Kronos, "thanks to" norCTrack that achieved these 76.9 GB, which company is not able to copy the keyboards architecture, but only copies the sounds, but is the good option of the moment.

Ok so i haven't listen to the library yet but as far as this and the Studiolinked libraries and any other kontakt library's that folks say dont sound good...
R2R alone has given us a ton of incredible Eqs,Reverbs and many expensive fxs that we can make any ok average sound sound amazing so its nice to have some good start sounds to shape and mold
Keep in mind we are competing with kids killing the game making tons of money with FL Studio stock sounds
So i like having unique sounds to mold that dj trapkilla and dirtbeat5000 dont have.

This might be more appealing if it was broken up into individually packaged subgroups of sounds, so that you could, say, DL just the string pads or just the granular effects or whatever, to at least check out the quality of what's on offer. DLing 77 GB blind is tall order.

The torrent is available that way. you can uncheck the ones you don't want since the nki's are only monoliths.

What would really be cool is if korg put this out as software in the manner that Roland Cloud puts out some of their hardware.

The problem is that the American Roland only did as software, because they can't sell anymore like the 90's, and wants the last cheap card to analyze if over time some famous musician, whether Hip-Hop's or Adele's music appear timbres produced by them, which fact has not happened for decades.

Really makes me skeptical... no demo??!!

Their website features no demo of the sounds for us to determine if it's even worth the $90. I'm certainly not going to download 77GB here, just to "hear" the sounds and determine they suck. Now you're stuck with whatever the manufacturer decided to bury in your operating system!!

They do offer "free demo sounds" but it requires an email for which I don't give away for sake of MORE junk mail!

The whole thing stinks of mediocrity at best... just my opinion and food for thought. Trying to be helpful.

If you go through all the monolith nki's one by one, I'd say 70 percent of them can be deleted and the rest are somewhat playable but that's still 22 gb or so. (really you can get down to about 10 if you spend the time) Basically this sort of thing doesn't really work as some others have said.
