At best, I know that I'm probably not considered anything more than a bottom feeder around these parts; but I'm pretty sure, the plane took off without me, on this issue. So yeah...

dead links, incomplete parts, old stuff and so on...

not to mention taking releases out of proper context, and repacking everything (out of order) into one big folder (directory), thus effectively making whatever you downloaded a waste of time.

I've noticed that this is becoming the new trend, more than likely just to make money off dl's, while the end user gets screwed in the end, because they just downloaded a rar full of bullshit. Not to mention the hassle of incompetent & unfair hosting providers, with mirrors of the same providers sister sites.

Old stuff... well, sorry to say it but that would be half the posts here lately.
However, a problem I had recently was that nearly 3 gigs of stuff I downloaded from Dukeiggi unpacked with all the internal organization missing: loops, one-shots, sampler files all mish-mashed together in one folder. Basically I just had to toss 3 gigs of stuff because it was such a mess. So I've been afraid to download any more of his stuff, because people rarely comment clearly what's going, they just say "thanks" and don't come back to report problems with the post.

the time and effort he wastes to fuck things up that he shares makes me almost certain that either he is a retard or he is really collecting the ip of ppl who regularly download in a certain database .

I understand your concern however this is also something the Moderators should take care off
People might Know me as a Mod from an other site
if I notice anything about the post being unclear or incorrect I just delete it and make a note in the admin section to remind me for later
If I see crap come by I make sure it doesn't even gets on there
sometimes I even check the content if I don't trust it ... just to be sure

so that is actually some advice to the mods here ... Check the stuff before you let it go on
And if your not sure you can always send A PM to the user who posted it ;)

Ravix the best feature about Audioz is SAiNT's commendable attitude about giving everyone a taste of as much freedom as possible IMO. and i'd like it to remain like that. the best mods are the relaxed mods but time to time some hopeless ppl try to test its limits. i am sure as always everything will be fine in the end.

i thought something was going on. i might of picked it up earlier, but because of my limited bandwidth i cant physically check the files by downloading them. :(

e-piano-collection-akainrg.html is crap. I wasted my time for download and try to extract something. I think that it have this from a russian tracker. I don't care. I suggest to create a rule to give warings (on 3 warnings - user get disable for account) for those that make uploads without check what they upload.

dude this was definitely NOT just a case of careless uploading. it was a systemetic process for collecting downloader ips from one of the best audio warez site in the web. yes i am convinced of it now. nothing else explains why every single one of his uploads were crap.

anyways, the point is, that you need to communicate with me and send me a message if you have any complains. don't post you complains in comments - i cannot read millions of comments each day!
this way we'll be able to stop shit from happening under it's roots.

No one report that guy to the admin, so SAiNT does not know what's going on, then, should you add a report button for that

Can dukeiggi see the ips of people who downloaded at hotfile, fileserve etc.?

Can I ask what has happened with Sonic Academy releases? Why there aren't project files and resources anymore within the releases? Now they also come as incomplete.

I think that Sonic Academy has found the way to ruin the releases, maybe they are posting videos without resource files or incomplete only to give us a bait, and when the scene sees the releases they don't check whether they are complete, and they don't bother to make their own......just a thought

Downloaders -

get free stuff
don't really have to contribute apart from if there is a problem (either not complete or not working)

Uploaders -
Do it for fame
and to make a few pounds (there's nothing wrong in that)

What is interesting is say it was possible to buy a sample CD for 25 and make 3 or 4 back from sharing it on here. That would encourage more sharing of non scene releases. total exclusives.

ie encourage 'casual sharing' as well as 'full on profit sharing'.

type dukeiggi into google he's making a real effort to make profit. and that's OK, but the quality control is too low by the sound of it. He may not even be involved in music in any way.

so my thoughts are how to encourage CASUAL sharing. so people post not scene releases that they may have bought personally.

If someone creates a listing with a sample cd they have bought and took the time to upload, just to find some helpful soul has mirrored it in 5 minutes, then they don't bother. i know that's how i feel.

well mirrors is always a pain. downloaders want good services. uploaders want most profit.
the forum needs to agree on a policy for this. like certain servers are unacceptable. and a policy to protect casual uploaders like no mirrors for 2 weeks or even a month.

Its just my thoughts on how to make the site expand.

if he is indeed doing it, he would not be alone. a systemetic process like that requires involvement of anti-piracy agencies.

The very problem lies in the fact that you host a warez site and expect users to be active and verbal.

Yet sadly, this kind of system isn't designed for communication...
This is a take 'n share-place, where 90% of your visitors pop-on for a second,
grab the latest downloads and get out again.

Living in a world where so much information is available for free, people tend to dismiss
any faults in information, and simply agree to it. Just like nobody cares if Wikipedia
is wrong or not: it's not the point; point is that it's Wikipedia, and it's not to blame.

Here, if someone finds out a download is corrupt/invalid, they simple won't care.
They'll get it from elsewhere or just skip it all together. It doesn't matter. One wrong article
against a million. It won't stimulate leechers to post...

I'm a very thoughtful person, but even I have to admit not giving a lot about commenting.
Yes, I am very grateful to the uploaders - but I cannot be arsed to skim through ALL my downloads,
checking all faulty ones and reporting back to the correspondent uploader.

I simply can't. And neither can those 90% of other users.

But -admitting I will- that those 10% who DO report back, ARE the people who are truly
the ones keeping this community clean of the corrupted shit. And without them, we probably
couldn't live too well either...

I needed 3 deprogrammers to get my 87 year old toyboy Fred Nurke away from his macintoy, he still has that glazed look in his eyes when something goes wrong with his pc.
