Which was utilized at the Producerā€™s Workshop, renowned for producing iconic albums such as The Wall, Aja, Rumours, and others. The P821 signature sound is very open and has a large sonic character, as there is very little electronics and zero transformers in the tape machine, making the sound stage massive and no aggressive compression or clamping down. This is the first plugin of its type where youā€™re actually hearing TAPE and how it reacts. Now, hearing the P821 MDN Tape plugin recreates that same experience. Air Shelf is a dynamic EQ plugin designed to shape very high frequencies, mostly above 10kHz. Use the Boost knob to get more highs, and the Tame knob to keep high frequency transients under control.

Boost: A 1st order high shelf centred at 20kHz, fully decramped up to 21kHz.
Tame: A mix between a very fast dynamic EQ and a transient shaper. It does not depend on the input signal level and only affects high frequency spikes.

Phantom Center is a stereo imager plugin that works by extracting the phantom center from a stereo signal (this is not mid/side).

Contrary to your usual mid/side processor, the side components are much less correlated (with mid/side they would be negatively correlated). For example, hard panned signals do not leak into the center or into the other side. The HPF and LPF parameters control the cutoff frequencies of the filters applied to the extracted phantom center. What is filtered out is redirected to the side channels.
