PreSonus Studio One Stem Separation v1.1.1-R2R screenshot
Team R2R | 2025.06.04 | 1.48 GB
One of the most highly-requested features, stem separation is now available directly on the Timeline. Powered by AI, the stem separation algorithm in Studio One Pro 7 separates a mixed Audio Event into Drums, Bass, Chords and Vocals and adds these elements to new tracks inside a Folder Track.

As an extra option, the separated Audio Events may be bounced again into a single file. This allows for quick and easy creation of instrumentals (minus vocal) or no-drums versions.

Stem Separation as a technology is still in its infancy, so further performance/quality improvements and feature additions are planned in the near future.

cos it just use open source software and you need python cuda or others lib. one reason why UVR do 5go even if just the AI model do less 100mo.
like RX they sell open source soft you can get free

On what is this stem sepration based? on which models?
If you want to supply something, you can. PM is open for that.

probably demucs as no developer has balls to mention open sourced projects on their acknowledgements, if any

Does this work without an internet connection? If it does, can it mess up plugins by homecalling, etc?
OK. Hmm. Zzz

I'll stick with RX 11 stem separation. It's good but not the best.

Question, with RX 11 can you seperate out Guitar parts? I play guitar so being able to seperate out Voice and Guitar is all i want to do? If its possible in RX 11 I'll give it a try.

ok i downed it, unrar it. Turned off my antivirus. I got the win.install file on my desktop. Opened studio 1 and opened a project window, then dragged and dropped into window and it shows install when i hover over window, but all it shows is an error saying its "Not a valid digital signature". So how do i install it then?

I dont believe this is working at all. Why is nobody saying so? No my stuff isnt blocked etc, I know how to install modded files, been doing it for 15 years and Im a android programmer so that isnt it...

Ok the only thing I can think of is this will only work using Sphere with the newer version of studio one..Im using version7.0 not 7.1 or 7.2 so i dont use sphere manager. Only thing I can think of but someone above said they got it working in version 5 of studio 1...odd very odd.

Works perfect with R2R Sphere Manager edition Studio One v7.2.0 win 11. Just double click .win file and you're prompted to install extension then restart S1.

so then the answer may lie in the fact one needs to use what? maybe versions 7.1 or higher and sphere in order for this to work. As I said Im on 7.0 and it does NOT require Sphere Manager. So yeah, In this case Ill wait since Im seeing some people off other sites expressing a few concerns of a few things are not working correctly in 7.2. But thats heresay and their opinions, For me alone Ill hold off for now. But thanks for your reply

Studio One Stem Separation

or

Izotope RX7 Music Rebalance

which one is best? ?

Rx does it a bit cleaner. But SpectraLayers v11 gives better results in the tests I do. Actually, an important issue is the quality of the source file, mp3 and wav do not give the same result. Sometimes UVR5 can do a better job than all of them. But there is no one that does its job completely successfully for now. Maybe it will give good results as artificial intelligence develops. We can even say to recreate the work from scratch without making any distinction.

Stem separation is just a new "feature" inside a DAW. So I think they added that by popular demand, still concentrating on the whole package. It's not bad, for the songs I've loaded in. The results were good enough, to do some magic.

When you compare it with UVR5, you will immediately delete PreSonus Studio One Stem Separation....

Wow. UVR5 has a huge footprint. It should do some Disney/Pixar type of productions. 50+ GBs? Some serious AI algorithms going on. LOL.

Skipped this entirely so i dint have to Uninstall my studio one 7.0 and mess with Sphere manager yet. Instead I downloaded SpectraLayers v11 from this site, works like a treat.

Sounds good. Maybe I'll try that and see which is better for what I need. Thanks for the heads up.

Hi, So is SpectraLayers v11 the best stem separator available to us at the moment? have you tried other alternatives like UVR5 etc?
