Team R2R | 2025.06.04 | 265.2 MB
Studio One Pro is your all-in-one production powerhouse with everything you need to record, produce, mix, master and perform. Version 7 is available now and comes with 30 additional features and improvements.

Studio One Pro 7 comes with over 30 new features. We have summarized the most important ones for you:

Studio One Pro 7 allows you to access Splice's extensive sample library directly in your DAW. Use the Search-with-Sound-function to enjoy thousands of free, hand-picked Splice samples that are perfectly synced to the beat, key and tempo of your project.

AI-Powered Stem Separation, one of the most requested features, is available in Version 7. It allows you to un-mix audio into four separate tracks, isolating stems from existing audio tracks. The separated audio events can be bounced again into a single file, allowing for quick instrumental creation.

Deep Flight One is now available as a standalone virtual instrument in Studio One Pro 7, offering three layers, integrated effects and brand new presets.

With Global Transponse, you can change the key of an entire song in real time with just one click. Audio and notes events are automatically transposed.

The brand new and fully-integrated Launcher offers a completely new way to record, arrange and produce music in Studio One Pro 7. As part of the Arrangement and side-by-side with the Timeline, the Launcher offers a completely new set of workflows that allow users to move freely between these two environments.

Rock Solid?
You are joking right?

I used to endure S1 (Still better than most other DAWS) from V1 to V4 before I got tired of its very much NOT SOLID nature and reliance on gimmicks (as it got busier). Went to Pro Tools 12.5 HD which runs rings around it for work and stability.

Cubase is a mess these days. Logic was always shit. Reaper is for weirdos.

FFS, why can you always count on a reaper freak turning up? misery loves company? is that what it is? ever tried doing any midi heavy work in it? it's horrible.. not to mention generally clucky and butt ugly.

yeah looks are subjective but the workflow is indeed very clunky
"but install this and that macro, these extensions, and change this and that setting"
Been there, done that. Not my cup of tea to fiddle so extensively with a software to make it mine just to make it fit a faster workflow. But again, to each their own, for now I'm sticking with the bugfest that is studio one

"clucky"?
Perhaps you meant "clunky"?
Or perhaps just a typo?

Well, either way may be a clue as to why you are not fond of Reaper.
The output = the input.
If you make a mistake, it makes it, too.
It can make the most powerful mistakes of any DAW!
But it is also fantastic for ability to save one's ass and recover from mistakes.
I believe even with default settings it's pretty good, but adjusting the settings can give you complete coverage (at the cost of disk space... and setting aside a couple of minutes a week for cleanup if your disk space is limited)

The learning curve is a bit steep, and certain adjustments must be made, but the logic is more correct than most, and there are very few "dead ends" with its capabilities.

But this is about Studio One, which I also like for its smooth feel.
I have Reaper set up MUCH more efficiently, space-wise, but a little wasted space gives nice elbow-room, which can be nice.

Reaper is shite... only used by nerds and hobbyists.

Studio One is top 3... along with Cubase... and the best (still regardless of sour nay sayers) Pro Tools.

The rest are trash inc reaper.

Sub Zero coming up later separately I guess. That one has 5GB sized library.

Installed over 7.1 --> PreSonus Sphere Manager --> Install Magic --> Subscription Renew. Done

Old Method still works if you dont need the HUB stuff.

copy VCRUNTIME140_1.dll to install Dir from old R2R 7.0 version
  Member 3.04.2024 26

Exactly what I did. Why did R2R bother to release this?
Sphere manager is useless-bullshit. All you have to do is replace VCRUNTIME140_1.dll.
Only gonna use vr or tcd releases from now own.

i am also not feeling too good using cracked Software with an online account to be honest.
who knows what data inclusive IP address will be stored on the HUB servers and maybe used vs people someday especially in Europe where Laws almost change daily.

i have Studio One blocked via Malwarebytes Firewall in and out.
The STEM stuff is not important, Splice or these new VSTi Synths do not bother me either.

most additions to Studio One since version 5 are not important to me.

that VCRUNTIME140_1.dll released by R2R as well. It's the most important thing needed to make everything work.

Sphere Manager "Install magic" is installing that dll file with one click.
Subs renew is to add the license, modify the registry that before this needed too many license generation, copying, pasting and such to just ONE CLICK.

You okay in there ?

Bravo Stevie, there are people to whom you can explain something like this 100 times, they won't understand it

You could be a bit more polite but thank you.

Studio One and the HUB App still try to send Data according to TCPview with all R2R stuff installed. does not feel good.

Runs perfect without any problems. BUT YOU MUST UNINSTALL THE OLD VERSION COMPLETELY !! Also this folder:
... ..user\Appdata\Roaming\Presonus
and ... Programdata\Presonus
  Resident 17.10.2008 569

so it is impossible to have both versions installed v6.4 and this v7.2 ?
  Resident 20.05.2023 175

I think they're saying the old v7.1 because it's been confirmed in this thread that you can install v6 and v7 alongside each other. That's my understanding anyway. However, other people have confirmed that you can install over v7.1.
