REQ: FMJ-Software Awave Studio v12.9.0.0 screenshot
Awave Studio is a multi-purpose audio tool that reads a plethora of audio file formats from different computer platforms, software and hardware synthesizers.
It can be used in a variety of ways — as a file format converter, as an audio editor, or as a synthesizer instrument editor.

Version 12.9 changes:

- Added support for reading sound banks from several old E-mu synthesizers — the E-mu Emulator (.E1B/.E1H), Emulator II (.EII), Emulator III (.EB3/.E3B), Emulator IIIx (.E3X), ESI-32 (.ESI), Emax (.EB1/.EM1), and Emax II (.EB2/.EM2).
- The Read from Sampler CD command has received its own toolbar button, and the dialog is now displayed in the property inspector pane. The remainder of the former IO menu has moved to the Tools menu. In addition to the Read button, you can now also import from a Sampler CD by double-clicking on a file in CD contents list, or by dragging it to the left-hand panes.
- A single MIDI SDS Transfer command replaces the formerly separate Send/Receive commands. It also has its own toolbar button, and is displayed in the property inspector pane. When it is opened, it is always "live" for receiving waveforms. A Request button can ask the other end to initiate a transfer. A Send button initiates transmission of waveforms. Which waves are sent is selected from a new Waveforms to send list. The order in the list determines the order in which they are sent. You can rearrange it by dragging items, or by using up/down arrow buttons. You can also remove items using an X button or the delete key. If anything is selected in the waveforms list, only these selected waves are sent. If nothing is selected, all waveforms in the list are sent. Another new feature is an Auto option for the transfer bit-depth.
