Wednesday 27th September. New lectures added: Drags and Ruffs

Welcome to my course Learn To Play The Drums Without A Drum Kit.

This course is aimed at anyone with an interest in learning to play the drums by teaching you the skills you need without any equipment.

The lectures provide step by step instruction to suit everyone and cover skills that are basic and advanced.

Each section has downloadable PDFs to help your understanding and to aid practice.

These exercises are based on the skills I learnt, use and teach in my career as a professional drummer and tutor.

By the end of the course you will have improved your coordination, rhythm and timing. You'll have life long access to the all the videos with a 30 day money back guarantee so you have nothing to lose.
Extract RAR5 archives

The majority of unpackers do not support the new RAR5 format. You will receive an error message when you try to open it, and there is usually no way to integrate it manually into the application to add support for it.

So, the only feasible option right now is to install Winrar 5.x on your system if you want to use a graphical user interface. Note that this is a trial version, and while it won't stop working after the trial runs out, it will nag you to upgrade the software.

funny.. but I assume a practice pad.

I played drums for years but stopped for a number of reasons.

I recently picked it back up and am going to do things right this time. Not relying on just "natural" ability, and developing things correctly, in terms of properly utilizing wrist, then fingers and then the moeller whip.

I set back up my '65 red-sparkle Slingerland kit but haven't touched it once... all I have been doing is the practice pad. Right now just simply practicing my single stroke until I get 16th notes up to about 200 to 220 BPM... while I admit I do practice clean accents too... but focusing on a lightning fast single-stroke for this year.

Anyhow, dude... you people need to get either a membership to Bill Bachman's website and/or acquire Tommy Igoe's Great Hands for Life dvd (available at your local Audioz ; ] ).

Then you will know WHAT quality drumming consists of... and the EXACT ingredients that define it... no more wondering about what exactly these guys practice... furthermore, as far as kinds of rhythms that are out there (once you have been grounded in "proper" or practical hand-mechanics) check Tommy Igoe's 2 dvd's on rhythms. Then you have every thing ever needed basically to absolutely ascend to quality drumming... well, except for learning to love sitting at a practice pad, and enjoying the feeling of doing nothing but left-right-left-right-left for at least an hour a day... to a metronome.

Enjoy
I finally can tune a drum set
