This book is very good, I loved it, but it's a shame that the chronology goes from 1965 to 1975, the incredible is to know how much important things happened in only 10 years in history before we were born, and that are spoken until today.

There was no mention of Edison's phonograph, since the death of 'Kennedy' and 'Sharon Tate' were mentioned, why not to mention the first recording for the gramophone invented by the German 'Emile Berliner' that brought to the world the advent of the music long disc SP - (Short Play) in 1887.

1930
Coming to the market is the long play (LP), a disc made of vinyl, 30 cm in diameter and 33 1/3 rpm.

1935
Decades before the introduction of the cassette tape, German AEG launched the first Roll Tape deck (Tonband), orinally named 'Magnetophon', based on the invention of magnetic tape (1928) from the German-Austrian 'Fritz Pfleumer' engineer who invented magnetic tape for recording sound.

1963
Invention of the Dutch company Philips launches the cassette or K7 tape, originally called a musicassette or compact audio cassette.
By the way: The metronome came about in 1812, invented by the Dutch 'Dietrich Nikolaus Winkel', and the German Mälzel stole the idea and patented it in 1815 in Germany. About Beethoven and the metronome of Mälzel , contrary to what many historians write or mislead in their history booklets, that have inside more opinions and deductions than facts, Beethoven must have just seen the pendulum of the metronome swing, but surely didn't hear a click, that is, 1815 he was already beyond Baghdad.

The CD was invented in 1979

1982
The CD appears in partnership with Philips and Sony

2002
The dataplay is launched, a 3.2 cm disc with the capacity to store up to 11 hours of sound. But the invention did not attract the consumer who prefers to record their own CDs with semi-free content. So, since blu-ray was the biggest failure in the world, practically, less than 6% of the globe had the earlier adopters buying this white elephant.

I hope that in a next review and edition the chronology begins from 1917 when the first audio documents were recorded on a larger scale, and at least until the 1980s to talk about the explosion of portable synthesizers and the Roland TR-808 Rhythm Composer, which have influenced a plethora of people to enter the music market with thousands of new hits produced by thousands of bands across the globe.

Today, to continue billing billions to avoid financial bubbles, Apple makes updates so that iPhones brought over two years old slow down and start to crash, so the user feels compelled to buy a new model. This is quite the opposite of what Steve Jobs wanted, when he did everything to make it a perfect technology and there were no loopholes and crashes as is often the case with Microsoft products, that can barely sell their new systems. The desperation of Apple is that the loss of high investments in new products don't sell while the consumer has the old, only ealier adopters buy new ones, who are the minority of the consumer.
Beware you are in the hands of Apple, your contacts, photos etc, may not be seen anymore, if not take care. By the way, in a world emergency, with a simple click they can stop all the iphones of the planet.
