On the Sensations of Tone

English physicists who are excellent and brilliant, have gone the other way, theorized and made reflections on many dissertations, but compared to the Germans to the point of not evolving in the thoughtful and physical sound, given the physical perfection that achieved the German pianos and made it one of the most beloved instruments in the world.

Of course there are doctors in sound physics with brilliant treatises in England, but Helmholtz went by other ways. Americans like 'Harold A. Hildebrand', 'Lawrence R. Rabiner' and 'Ronald W. Schafer who contributed with 'pitch detection algorithm' 'automatic speech recognition', that is not still perfect, but works btw 70 & 85% well in some languages. Or these clever men Manoj Singhal, Sunoj Koshy, Arun Rao who invented a system for slowing down an audio signal while maintaining the same pitch.

Germans since the 19th century, such as Helmholtz, put the theory into practice and were seized by the British, Americans, French and Japanese, in other words, in addition to creating a contrary hypothesis to confront their own thesis, they have always worked with practice in small rooms, not that others do not do the same, but, each went to a side, as Americans preferred the practice of physics to explore atmospheric and extra-spherical space, the Japanese copy to perfect in microscopic sizes that are used in modern iPhones and each one continues to contribute with something specific.

As if that were not enough, the influence of this and other Germans who led the Germans themselves were the pioneers in physical and mathematical systems for music software, such as Melodyne when, for the first time, we can clearly separate or duplicate from the polyphonic audio the harmonious partials of the sound clusters, that we call chords, but until a few years ago still in the 21st century was impossible, only the human audition was able to guess and complete which notes formed a complex chord, besides Melodyne German software are able to manipulate these partials of the sound to put in another position of frequency.

This is all thanks to the influence of Helmholtz, who continues to be present throughout the nation as da Vinci in Italy or as Einstein in Switzerland, and I hope that all this knowledge will bring future tools that don't yet exist in music software today, such as recognizing instruments music through the timbre and the most anticipated by all musicians, recognize the harmony of music and rewrite accurately scores from any audio.
It is good to remember that some years ago, the bad physicists thought that it was enough to sample a single note, than the mathematical divisions would complete the entire musical octave, they eroded ugly, no one can hear anymore to the keyboards of the late twentieth century, tones like pianos, sax, strings, exception pads and synthesizers.
But worse, some still manufacture and still sample this outdated way, just because the human ear being the least efficient organ of the human race, that really has problems of processing fast sounds, perceiving only the quick effects, but our audition is not anything silly, therefore, our hearing has become accustomed to the natural imperfection of things, the nano beats of frequencies between various instruments is that it causes this almost micro detuned sound within a harmonious order.
