Ummet Ozcan - Genesis Pro x64 x86 VST WiN - RETAiL screenshot
AUDiOZ EXCLUSiVE | 14.03.2020 | x64 x86 VST WiN RETAiL | 1.09 GB
After eight years in the making, Dutch-Turkish DJ and producer, Ummet Ozcan, has announced his own synthesiser, Genesis Pro.

The Genesis Pro can do Subtractive, Phase Distortion, FM, and ROM synthesis. It boasts three oscillators that can generate sounds independently or simultaneously. You can morph seamlessly between them in real-time with a dedicated slider. Each oscillator can have a filter applied to it. There are eight filter types and five saturation modes to choose from. Genesis Pro also features a 32-step sequencer, an arpeggiator, and has the ability to load external custom MIDI sequences. It lets you split these sequences between the upper and lower keys of your keyboard, and even lets you split the keyboard so you can play one instrument with one hand and another with your other hand.

There’s a massive variety of modulation capabilities. You can modulate any knob on the interface, and every knob animates in real-time to show you what’s going on. There is a “connect everything to everything” feel to it, which is even more apparent in the modulation matrix function and the fact that the five ASDR envelopes can be connected to over 100 destinations.

Genesis Pro also has a mastering section (with a filter, limiter, more saturation, and a stereo widener) and an impressive array of fourteen built-in effects, including a whopping twelve types of distortion, an eight-stage phaser, delay, ‘hyperspace’ reverb and a vowel filter (accompanied by an amusing graphic on its central screen). To top it off, for ease of use, you can assign commands from CTRL+1 to CTRL+8, and there is a ‘Picasso mode’ with an extensive range of aesthetic customization options – though it already looks very slick.

Are you not entertained?

However, these weren’t the features that excited me or stuck out to me the most. The things I loved the most were the dynamic link, the alpha knob, intelligent chord mode, and the x-gen tone generator.

The dynamic link opens up the Genesis to the rest of your DAW – you can use it to apply any tool in your arsenal to what’s going on inside the synth – for modulation, or for using sound signals (including your voice) to trigger events in the Genesis. The alpha knob acts as a master knob for anything that you care to assign to it – click a few buttons, and all of a sudden, you can control lots of knobs at once using the alpha. The intelligent chord mode and x-gen tone generator are two of those features I mentioned earlier, that seems to only be there to make things easier for the less advanced. The intelligent chord mode is exactly what it sounds like – you can assign a complicated chord to be played using only one key.

Finally, the x-gen tone generator is what, most newcomers will probably be the most excited about. It is a screen where you can choose from either ‘soft tone,’ ‘hard tone’ or ‘plucked tone,’ and each time you click your preferred option, the tone generator will make your sound softer, harder, or more plucked. Then you can move to the effects and layering screen for further options. What’s not to love about that? When you click your preferred option, the relevant knobs and functions on the interface light up to show you what’s going on. So not only does Genesis Pro do the job for you via an algorithm, but it also shows you what’s it’s doing as it does it.

---------------------------------------------------------

The developer was in big hurry to release this plugin: I have noticed, that during installation on 32 bit systems it intalls sound content in not proper folder for next functioning LOL. (instead of putting it in C:\Program Files (x86) it puts it in C:\Program Files and then after run gives tons of errors that can't find that the plugin can't found the sound content).

I have installed everything with legit serial, then packed it and gave info on how to put eveeything on its place, so that it would load sound content properly.

The current version of plugin gives me next bug in Ableton (not necessary for another DAWs i believe) the message "Please get your license on oz-soft.com" that should be ignored by clicking ok. This message (checked on Ableton Live 9+10)) was present on both 64bit / 32bit platforms after original retail install with valid serial. Except putting the serial in installer i don't see any copy protection - no any option for extra activation - no any license import.

Enjoy and support the developer if you can.

Well I installed the legit version and authorised it properly, but it's popping and crackling really bad and crashed once or twice too... so not impressed I'm afraid.

I bought this. Not a good synth and 32bit... About the crackles there's an option for ROM quality in the general settings but it's a setting per preset. There's not a set default option...

Tested, some preset like trance legacy generate crackle. The vst seem a bit cpu greedy.
And honestly 128 presets for 1 gb of files. As much, using Flex by fl studio.

This synth need some tweaks but it can become the new nexus.

Not one to complain about a chance to try before you buy but honestly, 1 euro, I'm pretty damn sure that everyone of us on here could afford that?
I bought it last night just as it was released and wasn't disappointed, you couldn't even buy a coffee for the price this is selling at nowadays

he's a full time DJ, he probably asked someone to program it for him. the 1$ price can be hype to show how generous he is. at the end of the day, how does it sound? pretty bad by the demos imho. thanx anywayz

Plugin is totally overpriced.
It sounds something like about the product that costs.. 30 cents i believe

Ok went through the presets and I have to say that it sounds and looks like a cheap version of Nexus 3 or Vengeance Avenger.
It was really too hyped and I have to say even for 1 Euro its very bad sounding.
But that said let us see if this will get updates and new Soundsets……

I can't believe my eyes.
Just buy it, it's just $1. In History no price for such a plugin was more fair than for this one.

Update: Was wrong!

A free test version and a price of $10 or so would've been better for those who really want it. In current state it isn't worth the buying process.

Don't expect super quality for this one

I bought it, but it's uninstalled... Was ... Interesting to check out but I don't see anyone actually using this over what's already out there.

To each their own, I consider the $1 to demo worth it, but I'm not installing this for anyone else.

Honestly this was as frustrating as Massive X.

EDIT: I really respect you r4e, but I disagree with this products worth at this time. Perhaps $1 to a song of his would be better. This software though, maybe in the future?

Ye, should have tested it before buying and writing that comment. Shame on me!
The 64Bit jbridge wrapped dll just doesn't work here without sound issues and also after playing around with the pugin, it seems like it's nothing for me (while some of the presets still sound nice).

It looks nice and shiny, has a lot of animations but seems like it's not properly coded.
Also the skin takes almost 300MB of size where the most space is taken for these animations. They should have focused a bit more on functionality first.

...taking my first comment back

I bought it. Tried it. Even managed to find one useful preset. ...ish.
But I am sure if I will try and make my own sounds I will be able to do that. Someone was comparing it to Nexus. I have that and it is way more useful than Genesis. But the difference in price is also disproportionate. As a conclusion Genesis brings nothing new, but maybe a new sound color. Good or worse at least is different. I don't regret buying it. I am not thrilled either.

It seems your internet was turned off while you tried to installed it.

Nope. Internet is whole time turned on. I have extended list of programs that are blocked with the host file, but i dont think that one that are related to this synth. All of them are programs for Graphic design.... I dont know what to say... Kaspersky is not blocking it either, so i dont know what to do and how to solve this....
Nevertheless, i just wanted to support this guy i already and bought it , bcz i have enough synths anyway, but i wanted to try it for some short amount of time then to delete it.....

Some nice sounds and features. It looks here and there fresh for me but the small GUI and 32bit is outdated! Needs polished a lot for a GenesisPro v2. Then i will buy it for more bucks.

Look, we get it -- you're all thieves or you wouldn't be here in the first place, so it must make you feel great to dig deep, put your hands in your pockets and shell out a whole 2 fucking euro to support the developer -- but nobody is going to think you're a pillar of righteousness, upstanding in your support for the hard working dev with your two euros.

These repeated announcements telling the world that you bought it are just really fucking embarrassing -- nobody gives a fuck, honestly.

Yes, people are so proud to spend 1 euro for it and all the world should know about it - big deal to buy lol

It is not big deal bro... I just noticed reading thru comments , that we were here for donate him for nothing... At least it not about 1 euro it is about it is fucking buggy so far i read comments, so i advice to you guys, i thought that is a fair deal to buy it and support a developer, but my advice don even do that, it is not worth and that 1 euro.... I cant get it installed... So how lame is that.... For that money i will not ask for support if there is one, but for sure i will not encourage others to make nonsense donations to shirty vst, that is not working... I didn't got even an option to get x64 installer and x86 as separate files as the stated....
So downoad from here if you wanna to test it.... Dont bother....
