How I learned that: Try to copy a b13 selicenser.sel in C:\ProgramData\Syncrosoft on a system where b13 have never been installed (or completely uninstalled / cleaned up). Install / launch the eLicenser, the b13 soft licenser will appear in red and the eLic. demands you to repair the soft licenser...

...Operation which can't work because the internal structure of the b13 seLicenser.sel is different than a regular license file.

eLicenser detects that it is a modified (patched) license, in other words that this license is not genuine.

This license appears in black (= OK) only if you install b13, which replace some eLicenser files by modified ones, in the goal that it accepts the b13 selicenser.sel as legit.

When you launch a Stnbrg installer, it detects that the eLicenser control have been modified by b13, so it tries to reinstall an unmodified version of eLicenser control...

...But it can't work because V.R. have protected the files against any modification (by modifying the ACL).

It's why you have bugs with eLCC when you try to install an official Stnbrg app on a system where b13 is installed.

To avoid this kind of annoying bug, it's better to install b13 at the end, when everything is installed.

If ever after that you'll wanna install new things from Stnbrg, you'll have to uninstall eLicenser again and do a quick clean up before installing. Then apply b13 again.

...But of course do exactly as you want, it was just a triple n000b advice...

But if your last message was referring to me, i need to explain myself, cause that is not a noob advice, it is a simple solution without complicating things, especially for non experienced users and here we have a lot of them .

Well i just want to point out , and you can read my comments in this thread and see what i have written before.
As assumption and my guessing was, that V.R got "seized" SYNOPOS.exe ,SeLicencer etc. in other words THAT FILES ARE NOW PATCHED and every time you run AT b13 , it is just MERGING original files with the patched ones nothing else.

Then we come to the next thing.
Since it is about COPY / PASTE files ,
there is no need to uninstall ELC and restart PC and after every single step and adding a new APP.
If you ask me, that is a lot work unnecessary work to do every time.

Simply you can run AT b13 after APP installation and everything works again.

Windows 10 1903 tested, Windows 7 tested.

Ofc for users who already had previous version installed, it is a must to follow your steps or V.R install instructions.
All of them should be aware that Windows Defender is not a friend in this job and Kaspersky neither and i believe every Antivirus out there.

It is essential to turn off all defenders ,antiviruses , then they can install Anti-trial without errors.

If they are on Windows 10 , even if Defender dont give alerts some time, and the still getting error they should open Defender and look under protection history , to see what files are blocked on system and if they found something Steinberg related , they should ALLOW them on device and restore them.
Normally in most cases the files wouldn't be restored, but now they are allowed to be installed on PC , and there is the right time to apply Antitrial b13 again and they are all good.

Of all the things I tried, most work flawlessly. The one exception is Granular Symphonies. I can't seem to load that within Padshop. Double clicking on a preset does nothing. Has anyone had success with this one?

friends why don't we let VR know which Libraries are currently not working? if each of us do it for VR can be a great help and maybe in the B 14 they arrange everything you say? and then that's how our Community should be just like we did with the Project "Mono Zaka 1 and VR" meanwhile I start to take note of everything that doesn't work, do it for our Great VR too.

You guys have to know it: Almost always without exception, I am acclimated to the extreme of people being stupid. (I am sure you know what I mean.) I am very glad that is not the case here, but it is explanation. Everything at the point was working beyond perfect, so when some said this or that, I said it worked too as I automatically expected it to and user error on others' part instead. Ok, I see you guys rock too.

Granular Symphonies won't even show as a library for me in the preview patch chooser screen for PS2. Just info! I am happy as can be with this though (the b13.) Look at this though. It shows in the sample part after loading any other patch!: https://i.ibb.co/9b5zbN0/Untitled-1.jpg When selecting one, it makes sample part blank and old sample is still heard when clicking on it anywhere.

I am pretty sure Team V.R is working on it to get it working better. It will most likely take them a few days more. All in all It's not perfect but it has given me a lot of stuff I didn't have before.

I also am wondering if win 10 had more issues than win 7. I am on win 7 64 and

here are the first contents that do not work with the B13 VR, if there is something not included in the licenses, it should still work through the "All Applications" License and I want to remind someone that "All Applications" can activate all apps not related to Dongle but only via Soft Elicenser, and all this I tested with my Dongle which contains "All Applications" for a few hours more .. here are the first tests that are not working but then I will add others that I have not been able to download now, and I want to specify that some libraries mentioned previously with Antitrial earlier from B9 to B11 worked without problems. now also check if something reported can work, I would not give inaccurate news.

Please need big help here
I installed on my laptop Dorico 3 and it works like magic.
I did the same on my main pc that has genuine copy of cubase 10 and it keeps saying that I have 1 hour left of time period.
I tried everything. Cubase won't run smoothly. Same when I open Dorico and says about many plugins that will expire soon and this doesn't happen on my laptop.
Is there a way to delete all other soft licenses and only keep Dorico 3?

I am new to Steinberg, and the website is a pathetic little help in figuring out what all this is.
Big pictures, few lists, no clear hierarchy.
Download assistant is some help as it shows associated / required VST or front-end for items once selected, but again- very poor layout lacking structure.
I guess like most, they are not concerned so much with clarity but are more focused on providing an 'experience".

Some questions if I may.

1. I am a legit Cubase 10.5 user and would like to know if I need to register a trial of Iconica in order for Opus etc to show up in Halion. At present it doesn't show and has a limited icon in Fake elicensor.
2. So much confusion as to what actually works but in fact very little works for me. Not that I mind. It's just that there seems to be so much confusion on work arounds and how to do this and that. Would someone please be kind enough to provide a definitive guide on how to use this stuff. Just install does not cut it at all. Most of the list is highlighted as limited use only with a few fully working.

I would be most grateful if those in the know would help us all out.
