•FIXED KSP: In certain cases, the ui_file_selector element would revert to its base path, forgetting the last selected file (v6.1.0 regression)
•FIXED KSP: Controlling most convolution parameters from KSP was broken (v6.1.0 regression that caused all related controls on many instruments to become unresponsive)
•FIXED KSP: The getter for $CONTROL_PAR_HIDE would not return the right value if the value was $HIDE_PART_BG (v6.1.0 regression that caused severe cosmetic issues on Spitfire products)
•FIXED KSP: Any use of $HIDE_PART_CURSOR would always apply to all cursors of the xy_pad it was used on as opposed to just the one intended (v6.1.0 regression)
•FIXED Kontakt would crash when trying to load an instrument that had automation assigned to controls that were removed after the assignment (v6.1.0 regression that affected certain products by Big Fish Audio and 8Dio)
•IMPROVED Kontakt's new Auto-Apply feature (introduced in 6.1.0) now ignores changes in subfolders of the watched folders (anything deeper than scripts or performance_view)
•IMPROVED KSP: All PGS-related coding mistakes are now Warnings instead of Errors, both in how they are shown in the Creator Tools Debugger, and in that processing doesn't stop
•FIXED KSP: There were some unexpected behaviors around the use of nested panels and certain Z layer settings
•FIXED KSP: The getters for $ENGINE_PAR_WT_FORM_MODE and $ENGINE_PAR_WT_QUALITY would always return 0
•FIXED KSP: Info Pane text would not appear for ui_button controls

I still haven't got this release to work right, 6 hours of messing... feel like reverting to 6.10 portable. It worked for me.

Hm, thats strange as I didn't change anything on the installers functionality. Means it's a bug in the installer.

Does the same happen for the installer from sunny's post? It basically is the same in its functions.

Btw. do you run a 64Bit or 32Bit windows?

Thanks for taking the time to respond to me. The same happens with Sunny's though the message is slightly different, as it refers to the location C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Kontakt\32bit
I run Windows 10 (latest update) 64bit. I tried running the installation normally and as an administrator, with the same result.
A question: would the portable version work better as suggested by Ballinthejack? or is it an inferior version of the same program? I have never used the portable version.

Hm, "C:\Program Files\..." is the 64Bit program files path if you're working on a 64Bit os. Maybe there's the bug with the 32Bit path.

Try to change it to "C:\Program Files (x86)\..." for the 32Bit plug. Also check, if that Kontakt\32bit folder exists. If not, create it manually and use the installer again.

Otherwise I suggest to install the VST plugins into a different folder.

I for example have an SSD just for music production and there are my 2 folders for 32Bit and 64Bit plugins. I configured every DAW to search in that place for plugins and I set the default vst paths in the registry to that location so almost every installer automatically recognizes these paths.

At my PC these are:
E:\VST\32Bit
E:\VST\64Bit

The regkeys are: 

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VST]
"VSTPluginsPath"="E:\\VST\\64Bit"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\VST]
"VSTPluginsPath"="E:\\VST\\32Bit"

i love that i can just pull the kontakt.dll straight out of the setup folder(had to do a win search to find it but it's down in there) and run it in ableton/reaper without even running the installation for this(and with no previous kontakt installed on my pc). i mean, this is pretty much portable

Separate program. Needs to be placed in a folder, create a shortcut and pin it to the task bar (handy to run easily). See my comment above somewhere for the folder I use to place the addlibrary.exe file. The point it it is not "installed".

I think you're not supposed to use a library manager with this one! They have provided a "library add" function on the main download.

Hey there everyone! First of all, thank you so much for sharing this baby! I was getting so sick of running Kntkt 5 inside Patchwork

But not anymore, I'm glad to say that this release is working a 100% for me! It even shows up on my Pro tools 12.5.0 plugin list and using the library add function recognized all of my libs (with the exception of 2 funky free ones) with no issues at all. Multi-outputs are working wonders unlike previous releases (at least for me).

Standalone also works pretty neatly. Don't really understand why is this causing such trouble on your setups ! Just use the installers and check it is aiming at your correct folders (aax, vst, standalone). The just patch it and add your libraries with the executable that's included within the release.

Hey Everybody, i´ve the problem, that PT doesn´t register a correctly x64 plugin data. Anything I can do about it? I installed and patched like in description. Also the standalone version crushes in some libraries!?
