Softube Modular v2.5.9 READ NFO-R2R screenshot
Team R2R | 02 Jan 2021 | 160.5MB
Modular synthesizers are a way of life. The sense of endless possibility, of open-ended adventure, is captivating. Addictive even. And nothing else can produce the sonic extremes of which a modular system is capable. Patch four or five modules together in a new way and you just might hear something no human ear has ever heard before.

Created in close collaboration with Doepfer, the creators and original stewards of the Eurorack modular synth standard, Softube Modular gives you the sound, the freedom, and the expandability of a hardware modular synthesizer, without the constraints. Seven essential component-modeled Doepfer modules are included, plus 50 stock modules, from utilities like mixers and multipliers to sequencers and performance panels. And premium modules from other renowned hardware brands are available to expand your collection.

So dive in, and explore a new sonic frontier where anything is possible, and you never run out of patch cables.

Modular is a modular synthesizer plug-in, developed in partnership with Doepfer
Comes with component-modeled versions of seven analog hardware modules from Doepfer
More than 400 quality presets included covering a huge range of styles and sounds

(Most of) single Modular modules are protected one by one. More and more
legit modules you have, more and more load time and cpu / memory wastes you
will have. Any single module releases by R2R are unpacked from WrapWarden
and does not access to iLok License Manager service at all. Now is the tiem
for legit users to complain of the massive perfomance loss to developers :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

* No iLok Driver is required to run.
* Our release loads faster and uses less memory than original.

okay.
You have to install the Modular plug-in first and then the rest of the instruments, so that they all appear in the list of Modular modules.

Otherwise they would not appear in the list.

ableton does not recognize any softube plugin, the dll file is inside windows, but I don't see it in the ableton vst list, the destination is correct. Ableton 10.1.14 windows 8.1. Do you have any solution please? thanks.

Why are most of the modules greyed out? When you hover over them it asks you to buy them.

This rls works with the SSX plugins that show up as "missing" (faded out) on the startup screen, meaning that if you add those from the R2R releases they do show up, e.g. Heartbeats etc.

But some other R2R releases that also ship SSX (as well as VST) don't seem to register with this Modular. For instance, I also have "Weiss MM-1 Mastering Maximizer.ssx" installed alongside the others, all from R2R, but the Maximizer doesn't show up in Modular. Likewise for the Abbey Road SSXs, like "Abbey Road RS127 Box.ssx". That also doesn't show up in Modular, despite being installed. There are no errors printed, so I have no idea why it's not registering it. Any hints how to make Modular see those extra SSX plugins?

I see some R2R softuve releases were broken and then FIXED https://audioz.download/?do=search&story=softube+fixed But appanrelty they didn't fix all of them... Abbey or Weiss don't seem to work as SSX.

So this seem more of a Softube confusion. Although they ship some plugins in SSX format and the R2R nfo lists them as such, some of them are not actually enabled for use in Modular... by Softube. For example the Weiss series manuals don't say they'd work in Modular... and indeed they don't as such, even though they come as SSX too. This is unlike the SSXs for Parallels, for instance. The manual of the latter does say they work for Modular, and they do.

So, apparently SSX is both a plug-in format for Softube Modular and more generally an internal plug-in format for Softube products that don't necessarily work in Modular. Pretty confusing.

To add further to the confusion, there's Tape Echoes, which does work inside Modular (and inside Amp Room) according to its manual, but it's not the same plugin as Tapes that R2R released. I'm guessing Softube is releasing separately new versions of their older plugins that work as Modular, but under slightly different names.
