Guys, please, rent a room for your personal love effusions. Or at least use pm.

This really isn't that complicated. For those who want Opus, you have to download the legacy libraries first. That's why they're here. Opus is an upgrade to those legacy libraries. It still remains to be seen if that upgrade will come, but the hint from R2R where they refer to the "R2R PLAY/OPUS release" seems to provide a clue.

For daemonlover and for those who've recently been on the Composer Cloud, please correct me if I'm wrong but I believe you need to download the legacy libraries and the Opus add-ons separately: they are not one in-the-same. At least, that's what I think I remember when I was on it.

If that's the case, then there's no need for any alarm because you'd have to download the legacy libraries anyway and presumptiously the Opus stuff will come on a later date.

There is a big difference though: When you install a legit library, even for Kontakt, in many cases you use an installer. But for cracked libraries, you just download it and open it in the player. Is the same with the East-West stuff, yes when you have it legit via subscription you need to download it via EW Installation center, install it, install PACE and all the security anti-piracy bullshit, install updates, etc. But this is only valid for installing legit libraries. When you have it cracked there is absolutely no reason to release a legacy version of a library, and later the update, when you can have in one folder all the updated samples and patches of the library. For example, is like I am giving you now Kontakt 3 and Albion legacy and later I send you as an "update" Kontakt 6 and Albion One to "update" Albion legacy when it was simpler to just give you directly Kontakt 6 and Albion One. I hope my example clarifies what I am saying here.

And let's put aside Hollywood Orchestra for a second. Then why are the other releases, like Ra, Silk, Gypsy, etc etc aren't the most recent versions either? When I checked in the EW Installation Center it showed me different versions of the libraries from what has been released here. These aren't part of the Opus Hollywood Orchestra, but over time they received various updates and bug fixes, which are missing from what has been released here.

I understand! it's curious to say the least. Hollywood Choirs was released which is a very recent addition to their catalog. So it's not as if EW's protection has changed from their newest stuff to their oldest. So it's a bit strange that the latest versions of all the libraries weren't also plucked before being released. Assuming the latest versions are released at a later date, I suppose the only true drawback would be needing to download the same thing twice. A pain and a bit redundant, but still not the worst thing in the world

Who can really say! I'm not part of the teams and can't read minds. I'm sure Opus and the last bits will be released shortly

Hollywood Choirs was released in 2017, so 5 years ago and it was done for the Play engine, not for Opus. I am not sure about the copy-protection yet, but it might be different. Time will tell. Cheers!

1:30 in the Tower Of Mischief demo, is that HW String legato? I have not heard any transitions like that in the library I bought

Tower of Mischief is an amazing piece, very complex and sounds great. It's by Two Step From Hell, credited to Thomas Bergersen and Nick Phoenix. As a Hollywood Brass demo track, I'm sure that's what they used for the brass. But who knows what they used for the rest, including those strings.

EDIT: Since Tower of Mischief is also a Hollywood Strings demo, I guess it's that library after all. Thomas and Nick are just that good with it.

Once again my message goes to the one(s) finding it strange and writing "...there is absolutely no reason to release a legacy version of a library..." and then later "...For example, is like I am giving you now..."

Are you really realizing on what you're building all of your arguments here? Being mad not have been offered a Ferrari, but a Porsche (btw I neither think OPUS is Ferrari nor PLAY is a Porsche lol )

You main claim is that you are here to informe people about something they did not know about, so they'll not download old stuff, for nothing. Till now that's absolutely alright.
But then you are not just informing, you are even disrespecting crackers / releasers / posters / uploaders / even downloaders, thinking this strategy here makes no sense, and there is some profit behind this...and what?

Did you ever take time to upload and share something ? If yes isn't it time and energy consuming? of course it is, I don't claim to know they are making money with it, but even if, it is their right in my opinion.
If groups ask not to make money with Audio Warez, there is no shame in posters making pennies (or billions) for their efforts.

Moreover, you are pushing it too far by accusing people, not sharing your point of view, to be fun boys ass-lickers....great!

Now i tell you what : you're a BOT! (Boy Of Tragedy). I think you don't understand how it works here.

We never said Crackers / Releasers / Posters are perfect, they never claimed it to be...but if you can't even thank them for what they do, did and try to do, then i don't see the reason you're here for....

Peace

Like others have implied...Opus version is just an update and you have to have the Diamond version first. 130gb of new Opus content is spread through all Hollywood libraries.
