The Usual Suspects DSP56300 Emulator 1.2.4 Win x64 VST2 + VST3 + ROM's [FREE] screenshot
Roject | 23 January 2022 | 43,5 MB
Project Of Motorola DSP563xx Emulation.
Thanks to Ayahuasca and the whole team!

Working Access Virus ROM's included:
Virus B (4v9)
Virus B (Ver. T)
Virus C (6v5)
Virus C (6v6)
Virus Classic
Virus GmbH - Virus B & Virus C
Virus Rack XL (6v5)

Ps.
When I wrote in the readme "You can use them all in the same time" I mean:
Virus B
Virus C
Virus Classic
Virus Rack XL

If You wanna use variations (different ROM's) of the same synth You can't use the same VST plugin name
You need to change the name of the VST plugin *.dll
For example:
Original name "Virus C.dll" change to "Virus C 6v5.dll"

Presets were shit back in these days. There probably weren't that many designers out there back then, especially compared to now. And you didn't have education on how to make your own presets

100% true! I miss my Nord Modular Engine so much(as well as Viruses). I've learned a lot with it's help. The Usual Suspects DSP56300 Emulator deserves digging into. It's as good as the original hardware.

Cmon..
one of most used synth un the decades still selling lots of units...and you cannot get the point, go to YouTube and watch/hear what is the Virus hardware, easy ;)

Btw as one of the first user It does not sound like the original (it is very closed but not the same) as you don't have the same converters between Digital and Analog audio! The Virus plugin on PoCo was so far better optimized and had some more character (maybe they added some color to emu the Access DACs) anyway u can smash it with some nice emu preamps..try the 1073 ;)

Have fun I still have in my room the A B C and TI... I love the B (very warm character and the C too) the TI is quite more digital :)

Because you use very old presets done in late 90s and earliest 2000, maybe up to 2010.... Since TI was released, there is not so much B and C released.... So, use your skills.... You can make your own better sounding ones.... Standard trance leads, pads and basses will be better than with Spire, Sylenth1 etc.... They will be fatter, deeper, more atmospheric, less plastic, way warmer than muddier/dirtier.... You will need less equing etc.... Because sound in your face, already ready...

Hi Guys! Every time I save and close the project (Reaper/Bitwig) with the DSP 56300 contained in it, the DSP 56300 stops emitting any sound as soon as the project is reopened again. The only way I've found to get around the problem is by removing the VST and opening it again in the project. Any workaround? Thanks in advance!

I'm on REAPER v6.44, Windows 10 1909. I tried what you described: added DSP56300Emu to a track, saved the project, closed it and reopened it. Everything is fine and it is putting out audio after reopening the project.

I'm running Win 10 2004. Maybe this is the problem.

Make DSP56300Emu show up with the name of the ROM in DAW
For those who would like the DSP56300Emu plug-in to show up with the name of the loaded ROM in their DAW's plug-in list, here's how to do it:

● Go to the plug-in directory and open the DLL or VST3 in Notepad++ or any text editor of your choice.

● Find the text "DSP56300Emu".

● Replace all the occurences of the text "DSP56300Emu" with the name of the appropriate ROM. However, do note that "DSP56300Emu" contains 11 characters, so the text you're replacing it with must also contain 11 characters. If it has different number of characters, the plug-in won't work.

● Rescan for new plug-ins in your DAW and you should see the names of the ROMs appearing in your plug-ins list instead of just "DSP56300Emu".

Nice!
Thanks!
With this method there will be a possibility to run few different ROM's at the same time using VST3 plugins

Does anyone know of a similar solution for Mac to run different versions of the ROM?

Thanks

Vst 2 version crashes Studio One 5.5 on my Windows 11 PC.
I'm gonna try VST3 and update this.

If you are having issue with your cpu load, try virus_cl_061_release.bin rom. It is for the Virus Classic. No Moog analog and a few less matrix modulation sources and destinations, but sounds like the sound you want. it has 24 voice polyphony instead of 32.

look in the upper left corner of the plugin. It will show ROM Loaded: and then the filename of your binary.

You shouldn't have more than one ROM in the same directory. That's what the developer said. I don't know what happens when you have more than one. It would be handy to be able to load different ones, but it's not necessary. since you can rename the .dll and .bin files with the same name and load the version you want that way [Virus_C.dll and Virus_C.bin].

I managed to get it working on Mojave via Ableton Live pretty easily and my CPU load appears to be fairly minimal, but I get weird issues with patches hard panning and filtering/dropping volume of the sound. Any clues as to what the issue might be? Thanks :)

This is amazing, it still has to improve A LOT, some presets like pads when you hit more than 5 notes my cpu breaks...trying vst3 and vst2, still configuring
THANKS for this !! I had a Virus TI and had to sold it long ago , hopefully in the near future we will see it here too

it wont become fast on your slow PC, they're already ~80% optimized. only a miracle would. You need latest Ryzen CPUs with highest single core speeds.

It's amazing!, and it loads Virus Banks as someone wrote here in another comment. Cons: It only works on single core as some people said here, it full your CPU instantly. By the way, thanks a lot to the developers, it's an incredible job!
