Got it to work and authorise on sierra but the standalone is 2.1.7
where as the plug-ins are 2.1.9

So every time on boot up it reads

Wrong Cotton Version: version missing:
LuaSystemVersion: 2.1.8

Wrong resources

The program resources have the wrong version.
Please make sure that the installation is up to date.

Here AD2 is not working in Studio One 4.5.3, the VST is always blacklisted.
The standalone version workslike a charm.

I have it working with Studio One without any issues on both my computers.

First you need to make sure you have the correct VST files, there seems to be two different sets of them in the installation, the sizes of the ones that work are, I placed them in my default VST directories, if you place them elsewhere you will need to modify the config files that I have listed below

C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins\Addictive Drums 2.dll (7.03 MB) (7,381,504 bytes)

C:\Program Files (x86)\VSTplugins\Addictive Drums 2.dll (4.99 MB) (5,241,344 bytes)

There are two config files that need to be setup correctly for it to work, they tell Addictive Drums where your files are located, these are what my config files look like

Library Placer goes into the folder where you placed your library files. Don't forget to start it, of course. Only that way AD2 will know where its sound library is.

Got the standalone version to work on sierra!
so i made an XLN account, repaired the 2.1.7 standalone (which comes with this release)
which then became a 2.1.9 demo
i replaced the folders app,sound data & replaced the plug-ins & License.txt
But not the standalone app

Now i should of checked before to see if the plug-ins worked before repairing the app
because logic crashes when validating!

for all those who have problems registering, look for machine id in the addictive logs created in the my documents folder and paste in keygen, what happens is that key generator is using wrong machine id, there is a r2r txt explaining this

In case of problems with proper authorisation, this may be due to the DAW being run in Compatibility Mode.

To fix "This Instrument is in Trial Mode" notification in Pro Tools, open Addictive Drums 2, click on the [AD 2] logo on top of the page or click [?] in top right corner, then open the [About] page.

On the bottom left part of the page you will find your ComputerID. Click to copy it and paste it into the R2R keygen and register.

Since I installed Keys yesterday, the lic for drums didn't have to be redone. On mac I had to run sudo codesign -f -s - for the plugins, and batchmod for the standalone app to get them running right. But now everything works fine updating as per instructions.

I had luck with XO but not with Addictive keys when using the terminal with sudo codesign -f -.
This is the error I get:

When RME,Steinberg,Focusrite,Novation,UAD, etc etc will support Linux they will move away from Windows.
Real musician will never go to Linux before that happen.
Computer programmers that put out computer made music (without knowing what they do musically as the computer fix everything for them) may do it.


Linux support latest RME cards.. Bitwig runs in linux as well as high quality VST instruments like U-he's. I also know some live musicians using linux for recording.
It's a small community compared to Win+Mac, but it is growing.

Btw, there are already a lot of producers using Linux..

You're amazing. I spent a few hours playing around with this release trying to get it to work and finally gave up. Your solution works. I was almost convinced that this wasn't actually an R2R release due to the lack of changes and wonky keygen :-)

I finally got the new library now. Copy / pasted the ISO content into a second folder next to the previous / older one, as I can't find either what may be new. The new version's ADBV0002.version included file reads :
2_1_9 Release1 2019-06-17 - 17-18-24

so that clearly AD2 is happy with just " 2_1_9 " in there, that's it.

For now, it all runs smoothly. WIN10 x64, Samplitude / Sequoia.

This was already released and out 2 years ago, so what is the giant miracle that has these very same OMG you guys are Gods people cheering like they are in skirts and pom poms at a little football game?
