i never got waves to work in fl studio since that v10 update. its a shame. fl opens up waveshell but plugins dont show up its a blank wrapper. i gave up on it a long time ago.

Damn I knew I should have just stuck with the 7/23 R2R release... I had no problem. I tried to update to this and now the plugins won't load. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the 7/23 version and the same thing is happening. The plugins show in my DAW as if they're installed but they will not load when selected. If anyone figures anything out reply please.

try and install the 7/23 version one more time, then uninstall it. Then delete all waves folders, files and plugins manually. Then delete all waves files in registry. Here are information how to delete registry (regedit) files:

I tried that and at one point I got a few 10/16 plugins to work but many showed a black box. I just installed a version that always worked for me which was the 2/27 version with the waves central installer and it's working. My plan was to install this then uninstall it but now I'm considering just sticking with this version. The things I go through just to get one extra new plugin.

Yes man it's working for me thank you. The first time I tried it it failed when I tried to do online installation. The second time I installed from the bundle offline then did upgrades online through Waves Central and it worked. The bundle didn't come with Chambers or the new Abbey Mastering Chain but I was able install them online. Do you have to keep applying the patch after every update or new plugin installation? I restarted and reapplied patch just in case.

Hey there! for MAC Users you can download the demo versión of the TG Mastering Console from waves official page and then activate with the same drag and drop Modules.bundle method that comes in the latest waves complete 10 mac osx warez releaseModules.bundle. It works for me! Cheers!

Waves plugins are not bad,don't exaggerate.I said that in the past.But with experience I come back using some Waves plugins which are unique and good.I like the Schepps 1073 and the CLA-2A,and their API line is awesome.Their Abbey Road Vinyl too,Maserati distortion,and more.

So again, sorry for asking, but I only seek a CLEAR ANSWER:

Is it possible to keep my old Waves set-up versions (9.6 and also 8.0 - because of former projects) and install THIS RELEASE NEXT TO THEM?
To my opinion it should be possible since this is v10, or?
I truly cannot get rid of my installed ones, because they're used in productions.

Can anyone please answer this? Begging for a clear answer.

don't think that is possible. The new install should however come up in you're old production without any problems. The name of the plugins are the same so it should be found in you're DAW automatically, but I know there is some issues with this in Reaper. And if the plugins don't show up in you're old project you can always reinstall you're old version of Waves

Thanks for your opinion. But I do see the possible problems with the new(er) plugins. Sure, they might have the same name, but aren't they encrypted in a Waveshell? So these on my system are Waves 8.0 and Waves 9.6. They work perfectly together. My fear is now, that when (possibly) a Waves 10 (Waveshell.dll) comes into play.... who knows??

I got the same problem. I thoroughly cleaned previous installations, registry too, but it still is grayed out, ever after reboot. Tested it with FL and Reaper :/

I've updated waves from V9 to V10. Now Cubase 9.5 couldn't find any plugin of waves :(
I only use the VST 3 , 64 bit versions and it seems to be in the right directory for Cubase to find it, but it doesn't.

I'm pretty sure restore point will not roll back uninstalled programs. The only safe way to do this is to clone you're hard disc before installation. This is of course overkill in most cases. Best way is to uninstall the old, try the new and if it does not work uninstall and install the old version you know work
