Installation

0. Install Steinberg Download Assistant (include aria2 download tool), run it and select download HALion 6 Full and 6.1.0, the speed is faster than torrent and you can even pause download like IDM. Extract 14 part downloaded and you get eLicenserControlSetup.exe (HALion 6 \ Additional Content \ Copy Protection Driver)

1. Install eLicenserControlSetup.exe (can be found in the HALion 6 \ Additional Content \ Copy Protection Driver folder)

2. Run the eLicenser Control Center file from the START menu (or from the desktop).
In the Online synchronization and maintenance window, click Execute tasks to maintain.

3. After in the eLicenser Control Center, you must enter the activation code for Halion 6 and download the license

Notification

1. Backup all license files in c:\ProgramData\Syncrosoft\ for the first time you install eLicenser, if you get error can't download license in the future, remove completely eLicenser, reinstall, copy&paste backup license file again to c:\ProgramData\Syncrosoft\ then using maintencance funtion of eLicenser.

2. Turn off or remove completely any Anti Virus software as it will block Antitrial and mesh up.(Avira will block Antitrial's component and get everything mesh even you turn off Realtime Protection, you must remove it.)

3. After apply Antitrial, you get demo license without experied.

I follow the steps pretty well and get the licenses to show up as in the images shown above. But if you notice, these licenses are grayed out, sort of like they are not active. I wonder if someone has done this and actually run it successfully...?

Installing Halion 6 Trial permanent Successfully with:

Fully owned licensed copy of Cubase 9.5 Pro on Steinberg USB - licenser after having all existing anti-trial (Steinberg Wavelab 9.5 Trial, VST Content Licenses and Cubase Elements trial licenses) working.

**If you don't have any USB licenses it makes it easier. But generally to make sure all files are installed correctly without using trial and error over and over to get things to work I found when I did these steps I was most successful. Skip the USB instructions though if you do not use one. These freakn' elicenser files can be a nightmare. The eLicenser Antitrial beta-4 gives you a bunch of trial permanent licenses but they are all installed regardless if you are just using Halion 6 Trial. If you want to use Wavelab Trial permanent then you would have to activate Wavelab like Halion was activated and then run eLicenser Antitrial beta-4 again and perform maintenance in eLicenser Antitrial beta-4.**

1. Uninstall all anti-virus, anti-malware etc. from computer.

2. Remove Steinberg USB E-licenser from usb port. Do not put back until noted in instructions.

3. Remove previous Anti-Trial Beta x or earlier software through Add/Remove programs.

4. Remove previous Steinberg e-Licenser software through Add/Remove.

5. Download Revo Uninstaller pro trial at https://www.revouninstaller.com/

5. Run 'Forced Uninstall' for 'anti-trial', 'antitrial', 'elicense', e-license', and 'license' with 'Advance' settings and then deleting all remnants that the searches find.

6. After downloading Halion 6 installer, run installer. Install all options regardless if the installer says 'already installed'.

7. After installation run e-licenser and perform maintenance. There will be no license for Halion 6 Trial at this time. There will be greyed out inactive licenses from previous anti-licenser or similar license installers.

8. While still in e-licenser activate Halion 6 Trial with the Activation code that Steinberg emailed you after you gave them your email on their Halion 6 Trial Site. At the bottom of the Activate window you now will press download license and your license (not an activation code) will be downloaded to the e-licenser. Then start license usage period which will give the usual 30 days trial. The Halion license entry may be at the bottom of the list.

9. Close all other programs.

10. Run eLicenser Antitrial beta-4 as administrator. This will open up a command line interface that automatically writes licenses to your elicenser including turning your Halion 6 Trial license into a permanent license.

11. Now run e-licenser and perform maintenance. Your licenses will now be seen and will not end.

12. Run Halion 6 standalone and when it starts it will not give you the usual dialog box 'you can use Halion for 30 days'.

13. You should also be able to run Steinberg Wavelab Elements if you have activated if before as well as using the content licenses in Halion or Cubase. Cubase Elements will run if they have been activated before.

14. Now you can reinsert the USB Dongle. Run elicenser and perform maintenance to make sure all licenses are visible. If your USB or elicencers do not appear exit elicenser and put your USB licenser in another USB port, preferably going from USB 3 to USB 2 port or vice versa.

15. Reinstall virus protection software.

Let me know if this has helped with the Halion 6 Trial permanent install.

Many thanks for the useful tips, but I noticed one thing......If you change the date of your PC (2 days for example), everything stored at the elicenser returns to Demo mode. I tried to make the SeLicenser.sel read only, it worked. but once i restart the PC, the read only properties were lost and returns to its previous state.

Many of the listed trials in the fixed dongle only need the sound content because they are Groove Agent add-ons.
The full list of downloadable content is here. Right-click and select "Save as"

If you are having issues with installation, 7zip will unzip Steinberg's executables into their own folder where you unzip. Put into the Content folder where the rest are stored manually if you used the default which is \AppData\Roaming\Steinberg - or install whichever works best for you.

Unless they release a trial of Cubase Pro that doesn't require a dongle for the trial, antitrial will not work. If someone could crack the USB licenser part that would be amazing but it has been since around Cubase Artist 6.5 that only Cubase Elements has been available to download. But getting Halion 6 full version is incredible since it was only available in full version to download since Halion 3.5 many years ago.

Leave your internet connection on all the time. During the running of antitrial it will automatically take you offline and when it is done it will put you back on line.

I guess you didn't get it. My studio pc is offline and will never go online for security and performance reasons. There is no way I am going to jeopardize this for a vendor's setup procedure that forces me to be online to install his product. That is my point !

It is not possible to get the licenses on the elicenser without the internet connection. This is just another obstacle that Steinberg gives you. You need to be online to activate and start usage with Halion The antitiral licenser actually disconnects your internet to do what it does. I agree with your decision to stay off the internet but I take the chance and use several malware programs and an internet security software and scan each time I have been on the internet. I have had some bad experiences though and have spent several hours a couple of times to clean my system. Luckily I have not lost anything. Every time I am on the net I have to make sure everything is backed up just in case. So it is pretty time consuming. Software like Slate Everything Bundle, Reason, Overloud and an increasing number of other companies are doing what Steinberg does. They don't even offer a way of sending you a USB dongle in the mail. I have legit copies of some software but I use software from sites like this because of the hassle of the copy-protection.

That is exactly why I skip on those vendors and go on with the others that let me choose the way I want to set my things up.

Anyways, who needs halion when we already have the greatest sampler ever KONTAKT with so many libraries available...
