MOTU has announced that Digital Performer 8.07 is now shipping and provides many improvements, optimizations, and refinements, including readiness for Apple's upcoming release of OS X Yosemite. This update is recommended for all DP8 users.

Highlights in this release:

Compatible with OS X Yosemite.
Support for 16 and 32 sample buffers (for audio hardware that supports these buffer sizes).
Many enhancements related to video playback and the use of external video hardware.
Improvements to importing and exporting using OMF, AAF and Final Cut Pro 7 XML.
Windows operation enhancements to clippings, printing, and ReWire.
Fixed an issue where very long audio files would constantly regenerate their overviews.

i never use this program but i did saw musicradar rank the dp 11th overall in best daw but renoise rank 1 level down from dp, this program missing something for them to get that grade from music radar

As I test, visual output of plugins are fixed now, that was a problem with 8.0.6. But still some of plugins has the same problem, per example Spire and a little vu meter in corner.
I will try make test project and finally test performance in new version.

all i can say this is a very strong release. stable, i had 1 crash in 2 days testing. and it was when i first or second time run the app. nothing serious of course, mixing 12 audio tracks with usual eq/comp/gate/saturation, some bussing , some processing on the master, 3rd party vst's. glitch free so far. it feels they made the app very thin, interface is very responsive. i try to track some friends of mine with it, see how it goes, nothing professional. i prefer it with audio. midi feels strange in dp, like no midi-block on the timeline, just dots.

Since I installed this one after exiting I get a program hang. Uninstalled it, reinstalled it and the same thing...everything closes except the main window-it hangs...anyone with ideas are welcome to comment...Thanks for the share
