Why would you want to do that? The best way to improve performance while saving space in C: is by moving the libraries to an external hardrive and also the "data" folder found in C:/Program Files x86/ Waves using symbolic links. In total you regain 26 GB and improve performance. (as long as the hard drives are the same)
The problem is not the problem. The problem is your attitude about the problem.

Symbolic kinks are just representations of what you'd like to do in bed.

But for symbolic links I always point to this:
Link Shell Extension
Includes an option for handy right-click context menu for frequent use, and uncheck that to remove the context menu when you are not using it much. THAT is the kind of thing I love. :)

I do not think it's the release group but waves it's self. I have read on the internet people on both sides who are complaining on install issues.
