First of all massive thank yous to V.R and Mordi for posting the release. You guys rock!

I have noticed a strange behaviour with the modulation wheel. It seems in reverse in many presets. Not all of them, mind you, but a good number of them. When you expect for preset's cutoff to open when you push the wheel up, it actually closes. It must be a bug of some kind. Maybe the ones that exibit this behaviour are older presets for Hive 1. I'm not 100% sure. But the presets did get overwritten by the new ones, I've checked. Have anybody else encountered this?

It's not a bug it is a feature. In both matrix A and B tabs the mod wheel can be selected as a controller, There is the knob to the left that can be set negative as well as positive, This is where you can chose how you prefer settings for the preset.

Yes. It overwrites the old version VST DLL and the presets. At least in my case on Windows 7 x64 it worked smoothly.

Yes this setup overwrites the previous versions of Hive.This version 2 is called "Hive" like the old version,and not "Hive 2".

But I wonder if this new version is fully compatible with Hive v1.2,for my old projects?

So I have the 2 versions on my computer,by renaming the dll ,and my folders in "vst plugins" and "program data" for the new version .

Hollo shining presets are missing their wavetables. Anyone else can confirm?
Everything else works perfectly otherwise, it's just missing files.

Hollo Shining presets just use an additional wavetable called "Superseven.uhm" which can be downloaded from KVR u-he forum. It's made by Urs himself.

I think it can be done
Just install it in its own folder atleast that was possible with older version as all presets and gui files and the dll file is located in that folder
If the dll happen to share the same name on the new version try to rename the old one to Hive1.dll or whatever you like.
(When it comes to Vst 3 just move the old vst3 to a temp location before you install the new version just in case)
I dont know about renaming a Vst 3 to another name works as i never tried it especially not Uhe since he always had some trouble with his Vst 3 version i dont know if he has fixed this yet as i use very old versions just to be sure it wont timebomb
I suggest you make a new subfolder inside the Vst3 folder call it whatever you like and put the old version in that folder i think it has some "links" to all preset and gui folders move those aswell and try to see if it works)

this working? no bomb? installed it and crashed live, checked for older versions and 1 was in 32bit prog file, i dont install 32 no more so it was clean install and so far ok, but for how long

One thing you can do to overcome this fear of bombing is always render your tracks to WAVs when you feel they're finished.
