Thank you so much R2R and Sunny!

To make it work in XP you have to be able to either update it directly from the ISO by opening it in 7zip or WinRAR and finding the right files to update. Also, you can install it in a VirtualBox-ed Win7 and transfer the updated files. It's a bit tougher to install it directly in XP, though. It's easier to install the 4.0 complete version and then update it with the new files from this release, extracting the updated files from this new ISO and overwriting the old files with the new ones. It's very easy when you know what you're doing.

Oh, so they really made it incompatible with XP this time? Shame. :( Thank you for pointing it out, mono! I haven't tried it but I assumed it should work the same as Kontakt 5 works. Newer versions of Kontakt will probably not work, too, then.

It doesn't really concern me as I'm using last version of Battery 3, and I was already very satisfied with v2, actually. Regarding Kontakt, I don't use it, but I have much experience with v4 and it's really good. Not as good as E-MU EIV, though. LOL I'm still in the 90s regarding hardware... ;) Cheers!

Battery 4 is way better than 3 and also a lot more pleasant on the eyes. You XP holdouts are gonna be having more and more issues with your plug-ins in the future as XP support is phased out across the board. It's not even intentional, it's because of the development move to newer versions of Visual Studio and this is simply a byproduct. Also XP is the equivalent of swiss cheese security these days so it's a liability to continue using such an outdated platform.

That's really nice popeye. It warms the heart to see people slow down and make the connection that the teams provide us with experiences and opportunities we otherwise would not have. Good on you mate, love seeing comments like this.

one of the only products from NI that I don't use, but thanks for update

LOL, it's interesting that it's the ONLY NI product I use. I use it as a sampler... not just rhythm machine. It reminds me of the oldschool 90s samplers. My main sampler, and heart and soul, is an E-MU Emulator IV actually. You can't beat the feeling, just like that coca-cola poisonous advertisement.

yea i just find battery useless since I own Maschine Studio. I'm sure there are ways to implement it but that's my main way of sampling.

I'm having a little issue ...
After update, the factory library is gone ( i mean from battery browser and preferences)
i used the "library placer" and it's not working.
Any hint ?

This and Kontakt prob the best 2 products they make, used heavenly in the studio
others are just commercialized

Notes from lass version 1.4 PROPER NOTE :
The release by other team does not contain REX Shared Library which is especially needed for non-update installation.

Yep... I have the same issue. I think it's bug and/or crack related. I tried all tricks in the book. Even when the right factory library location is shown in the registry, it still won't see the library. Quick work around: Just add the Factory Library to your User library. Maybe another update or repack will solve the problem.
