Focusrite Red Plug-In Suite v1.0 Incl.Keygen-R2R screenshot
TEAM R2R 2015.01.26 | 28,45 MB
The Red 2 & Red 3 Plug-in Suite accurately models Focusrite’s classic Red range equalizer and compressor hardware – letting you exploit the originals’ famous sound, conveniently from within your audio software. Coveted by producers and engineers for their exceptional clarity and versatility, the original Red 2 and Red 3 remain prized fixtures in professional recording studios the world over. Now, you can use these revered pieces, easily and flexibly, in your own mixes.

The Red Range
The Red range was introduced in 1994 and remains among Focusrite’s most successful and recognizable hardware products. Encased in half-inch thick red anodized aluminum body, with polished steel top and bottom covers that feature the classic ‘ff’ detailing, the original Red units are unmistakable. Their natural, unobtrusive sound and distinctive style have earned them ‘iconic’ status in the pro audio world. Almost every major studio owns, or has at some time hosted, a Focusrite Red.

The Red 2 hardware is derived from the ISA 215 equalizer circuits, initially designed for the Focusrite Forte console. Its flexible 6-band configuration with high and low-pass filters is powerful and responsive. Distinguished by its subjectively warm and smooth sound, the Red 2 is extremely versatile and remains highly sought-after.

The Red 3 hardware, similarly, uses the same circuit topology as the ISA130 compressor module, based around an innovative proprietary VCA design that earned Focusrite a TEC award for Outstanding Technical Achievement in Signal Processing Technology. The unique implementation utilizes three VCAs in series on the side chain to achieve true compression followed by limiting, rather than the more common characteristic of compression that turns into limiting. The Red 3 is famous for being able to retain a natural sound, even when significant compression is being applied. As such, it has remained the choice of many of the world’s finest mix engineers, such as Chris Lord-Alge, who continues to religiously place his Red 3 over the mix-bus.

The Red 2 and Red 3 plug-ins faithfully reproduce the sonic qualities of the hardware, allowing you to get detailed dynamic and tonal control of your mix, and tap into the classic ‘Red’ sound – the sound of professional recording studios all over the world – with the mere touch of a button. Featuring stunning graphics that evoke the trademark red sheen of the originals and faithful sonic modeling, they’ll fast become the go-to weapon in your plug-in arsenal.

Utterly fantastic, Sunny and R2R. I was checking out the blurbs about these just yesterday and in my mind it was one of those things that I wasn't going to be able to audition (I have become rather a "must experience this" junkie). Thank you, thank you fro fuelling my fire.

Thanks to focusrite for giving this plug free , for owner of focusrite's stuff.
I don't know if this sound as the oldest protools version, but it's a great vca compressor.
it doesn't sound like the red (from slate digital) the transients treated are ... different

Apparently the compressor is identical to midnight compressor.

News 4 Focusrite registered user:

"Every user with a Scarlett, Saffire interface or Forte registered to their user account will have an activation code for the Red Plug-In suite. This code is stored under the interface registration in..."

I own a Scarlet 2i2 and they give to me (it is inside my account page) an activation code... "Yippee ki-yay"

WOW that youtube null test that spaddu links to is pretty damning. Its extraordinary that the red and midnight compressors have exactly the same controls but the fact that, at extreme max settings, they cancel out is diabolical. And the difference in the price tag..........

Hello again. Just to add to my earlier comment, having watched the YouTube video, I did try the null test myself with two identical files. They cancelled perfectly without anything inserted on them but with the Focusrite Midnight compressor on one and with the Red compressor on the other, even though the controls are identical, at any setting, they did NOT cancel. This was with the x64 VST version of both plugins.

After I read the stuff on gearslutz and KVR, I checked it, too.
- I used different sound material with different spectral balance, different transients, etc.
- I tried to get the same nulling results with other comps and eqs, absolutely impossible to get it nulling.
They really are the same plugs with different skin. And the knobs and VUs are calibrated a little different, so people will tweak them differently and will not recognize that they have the same code. That is at least what focusrite thought it would be, I guess. Unbelievable!!!
Other developers should really get focusrite to compensate their legit users for that fraud.
Really a disastrous mistake! People will get very angry. And unbelievable, that focusrite thought, that users will not recognize… Epic failure!!
But I always liked those plugs, so…
