R2R WORKiNG NOTE :
The one by other group is bad patched and does not work on some hosts. Also, it calls home and send MD5 hash and user info to the developer and show "BUSTED!!!" message then crash (call Abort API).

After other group released the cracked one, developer stops supplying the installer. Now the current versions are protected with MPRESS - not a difficult one and we can unpack though.

R2R are more experts, they're able to dive deep into codes - sometimes real Jungles of bytes! No wonder that single or less experienced crackers can't track all functions.

When they started out people would slam them all the time for bad cracks. Experience matters. Anyone that wants to get into the game should and need to practice. They just need to make sure they test more. Quality is better than speed.

We all remeber when R2R called themself peace-out and released cracked plugins that make the whole computer freeze and very few actually worked...

I agree. Just because they say "the other group" it does not mean they want to degrade them! Don't forget that some non-English use often Google-Translate...L0000LL!!

My opinion on R2R vs. CHAOS and USER vs CHAOS and CHAOS vs USERS an R2R is:

1. R2R always said "other group" and not CHAOS.

2. There was always competition in the "scene" and groups always fought some small ego battles. It should be taken as a challenge to get better, not as an insult.

3. CHAOS is a one man project. He has no advisor, no group that would help him with complicated protections, give him tips, share some insider knowledge you will not find in tutorials etc.. This is a different thing IMHO, it's no group, it's just a crackoholic autodidact. Everyone should respect that. Especially everybody who does not know a thing about code reverse engineering.

I therefore conclude that CHAOS should not be pissed & people should not diss CHAOS or his work, but instead give him support. At least moral support.

Well said in some years we maybe gonna raise Chaos to the skies and thank him for his contribution to the community.
Anyway i think those Chaos cracked plugins is gonna work on my non internet computer...

Where's the bashing? What should they say? "Oh, the 'other group' did a good job, unfortunately it's not quite working the way it should, but who cares?"

Just stick to the other release then, good luck with that.

Yeah, unfortunately their plugins are still buggy.

I'd advise them to chillax a bit about the protection. They should first focus on making stable and good sounding plugins. They've got the latter right so far.

I wish them good luck with these, because they sound good.

In any case, even if there are those that work better than others, thank you very much to all group for what you do.

Maybe some of you "Scene experts" should read it again (I bet all of you already read it) .. and keep the essence of it in your hearts! Maybe the times changed in these days..I'm not really in this scene since about 13 years because today its so much more comfortable just to visit some sites like this here on Audioz to find the newest releases...but in earlier days I was at EFNET talking hours and hours on channels like #midiwarez or #audiowarez when I normally should visit lectures at univerity. I also was part of the All4One couriers ... I had an own ftp at university until the admin found it and kicked it out of the network..and did uploads to pubs and I know a lot about the attitude in these days. Noone ever asked someone else to register to a sharehoster to earn money.

And additionally here is the really old website of the first real Audiowarez channel #midiwarez with some interesting informations about RADIUM, ZONE and OXYGEN included complete release lists and some interviews with other members of RADIUM and OXYGEN....and even with some support informations for their releases (so much for the assumption crackers dont care for the users of their releases)
