Got it working by using CHAOS *.exe from another package. The patcher itself didn't work for me on the x64. Not sure if I did anything wrong.

My apologies CHAOS. I must have got the Team X3N0N Patcher from another site. It only works on the 32 version.

I have used your patched EXE and it works beautifully.

I have got this bitch down to 15 megs as a Winrar Self running archive

LMFAO I took out the PDF help crap as that alone was 65 megs.

Okay so the total size of the rared self extracting archive is only 15 megs

takes about 5 seconds to extract to the temp dir then DP.exe runs automaticaly


Since this is just a Winrar archive you can extract it and add your own files if you need to.

It runs awesome on all the machines I tested here

no its a standalone version no hardware need bro

I suggest installing the unzipped version which ends up being 170 megs.4

Then pulling out the HELP PDF's wich are about 60 megs from the installed directory

then make a self extracting rar archive with that directory and in the SFX options add the DP.exe to run after extration to the temp dir.

This brings it down to no kidding here = 15 megs that is even smaller than the Sonar 8 micro edition LOL.


So Digital Performer 8 is really only 15 megs, the rest of the other stuff is the included effects , samples and help files
Really not worth the $1000 they ask for this shit.


However I do commend Motu for making the app itself very tightly coded as this packaged version is even smaller than Reaper!!!

Thanx ,earlier version (64bit) did not recognize my asio driver This one however works fine with my M-audio asio but although it recognizes e-mu asio it fails to load it. Although the program still needs improvement it aint that bad.I have Cubase 7,Pro tools 9 ,Reason 6 ...
this DP does have a different sound what personally I would call it EUROPEAN , Cubase has a thicker richer sound. I do rate Sequoia to the top it is so easy for me personally to use even without manual, and to me it sounds the cleanest,crisp and not muddied bass.I usually like to use all these programs for certain Mastered particular sound with a certain song.What's up with Sequoia new update ? no Patch? Thanx again ...

new versin for Windows 8.05 has been released today on Motu's website, sure a new crack will be needed as it was frit was for 8.04...
