SoundToys Radiator v1.0.9
R2R | 22.12.2012 | 100 MB

Introducing Radiator, a dual drive tube input channel and EQ, based on the classic Altec 1567A tube mixer from the 1960s.

The original Altec 1567A hardware was a rack-mounted five-input tube mixer with removable transformers, a simple two-knob EQ, an unmistakable green faceplate, and a whopping 97 dB of gain. The sound, by today’s standards, is colored and gritty, with a heaping helping of good old fashion hardware noise. In its day, it was used on many early Motown hits, and found its way into the PA racks of countless churches and school auditoriums across the USA.

Radiator brings the classic Altec tube sound to desktop recording rigs, capturing the distinctive warmth and punch of the original hardware. Featuring the modeled bass and treble tone controls from the original unit, a mix control for easy parallel processing, and the saturation and harmonic effects of the original hardware’s input and output amplifiers. All of these different circuit elements interact, allowing a wide range of tones to be created with just a few simple knobs. Plus we let you decide if the original noise is on or off.

TEAM R2R VST Loader is tested on Windows XP/Vista/7, 32&64bit with 32bit host.

I guess there won't be a Mac release soon, right ? (No Win8 too so far) I ask that because there's a discounted price for Little Radiator owners, so if Radiator is interesting and won't be available for Mac and Win8 users maybe it's worth buying it...

Let's try it now ! headbang

EDIT : Shit they are still 32 Bits... All editors are fucking SLOW when upgrading to 64...

wow pace cracked for windows?

No Pace wasn't cracked, they used TEAM SND patching method and removed the bombs. That does not mean that this isn't great! It only means they did not unpack PACE.

This method works only with PACE1 protection that does not need the dongle, it does not work with dongled PACE apps or PACE Eden (Ilok2).

Otherwise we would see Kush Audio plugins released.

Shame we still have to install Pace to use this, I suppose. :( I will try it nevertheless as I love SoundToys stuff despite usually rather sluggish GUI and general feel. They sound great. I still use v4.1.6 [I think] AiR cracked ones since they don't need Pace to be installed. ;)

Thank you R2R!

It would be amazing if Soundtoys actually got around to making 64bit versions of their plugins. I actually bought them and have loved them for years, but I feel totally screwed over by them for staying 32bit.

Eventide, URS, Audioease and Abbeyroad too. It is like a stab in the back for being a loyal paying customer.

Thanks for letting me rant, slightly off topic.

Thanks for all the good things!

Win8: R2R VST Loader doesn't work.

Win7: R2R VST Loader works.

@dude2000

Win8: doesn't work
Win7: works somewhat
XP: works great

:D

Stay away from M$ beta operating systems if you want everything to work. By using Windows 8 you should know that you made a conscious decision yourself to want to have problems with software, and that's YOUR personal problem. Nobody else's. Go back to W7, and don't blame others for your problems. Nobody uses Windows 8 for *serious* audio work, man. There's absolutely no gain over Windows 7 and especially XP. By posting crap like that you just show how serious about your audio work you are.

I use XP and everything works. No blue screens no nothing. Pure boredom for some. Well, I like it that way. It just works. Like the famous Steve Jobs' phrase. ;) It just works, so I can concentrate on making music.

So if you think you're using the best OS in the world there is for audio production, think again. Many people just go with what's "latest and greatest" and make a huge mistake. Some people still use Windows 98 for their audio work, and for them it's just fine, you know? Don't fix things that aren't broken.

Cheers!

SineWave: Bullshit. I've runned Windows 2000/XP and now Windows 7 together with Cubase VST32/SX1-3/4/5/6/6.5/7 for over 12 years. No problems ever.
Only n00bs have problems with Windows.
Windows 7 works like a charm, no hangs, crashes or blue screens EVER. If you have professional soundcard drivers that is. :)

Although, I would not jump to Windows 8 YET. Event though Windows 8 is better for audio applications then any other OS available right now (see all realtime tests, shows that Win8 is more effective on the CPU).

Mac OS is really bad when it comes to audio/CPU. Just see the tests & benchmarks here: http://www.adkproaudio.com/benchmarks.cfm

no no Completely WRONG!! MAC beats WiN-PC under many aspects, it has be proven + tested by Audio Professionals. yes Latency problems on WiN are still catastrophic compared to the smooth performance of a MAC! But of course everybody's free to use the preferred System.

Kookaboo,
YOU are completely wrong my friend, you compare the mac and pc while they are both the same kind of machine, featuring the same components to run as a computer. I worked on both, mac and pc, but i call the mac sistem a pc too, because only the operating sistem is different to me, so when you try to compare them, compare the OSes, not the sistem themselfs. A highend computer, with the best available cpu's on a dual-cpu server motherboard and 64gb of ram with the Win8 (is almost the end of 2013 and is more improved and bugs free, i have even old plugins from 2006-2007 and i have absolutely no problem with them in my new powerful computer) and belive me, this kind of system would bash every kind of mac system available on the markets.
I don't say a mac is a bad sistem, is great and easy to work with due to no-brainer configuration, because it was created with everything done, so the user would not mess with the technical details, but this involves limitation too, while a computer is not limited. What do i mean by limitation? I don't have to ask Apple for a ram upgrade or choosing a graphic card, i just change every part i need choosing the brand i want for the parts, custom cooling, silent expenive cases with almost zero noises, fanless graphic cards, SSDs in Raid 0 and more, but with a mac, you have to ask the Apple momy for every change/upgrade you want to make to it. Don't call a pc having "CATASTROPHIC LATENCY PROBLEMS", just because you and your mac minority guys wasn't able to make a great PC computer. It's like "Daaamn, i have latency problems on this PC crap" and you blame the PC while is actually your fault from not being able to set up a nice PC computer. It's so easy to blame the things around us when WE actually are the only one to blame.
