SoundToys Radiator v1.1.0-R2R screenshot
Team R2R | 2013.01.09 | 102 MB
Introducing Radiator, a dual drive tube input channel and EQ, based on the classic Altec 1567A tube mixer from the 1960s.

The original Altec 1567A hardware was a rack-mounted five-input tube mixer with removable transformers, a simple two-knob EQ, an unmistakable green faceplate, and a whopping 97 dB of gain. The sound, by today’s standards, is colored and gritty, with a heaping helping of good old fashion hardware noise. In its day, it was used on many early Motown hits, and found its way into the PA racks of countless churches and school auditoriums across the USA.

Radiator brings the classic Altec tube sound to desktop recording rigs, capturing the distinctive warmth and punch of the original hardware. Featuring the modeled bass and treble tone controls from the original unit, a mix control for easy parallel processing, and the saturation and harmonic effects of the original hardware’s input and output amplifiers. All of these different circuit elements interact, allowing a wide range of tones to be created with just a few simple knobs. Plus we let you decide if the original noise is on or off.

Over the past few years the Altec mixers have been picked up by recording studios as an inexpensive way to bring analog color and character to computer based digital recording. With producers like Matt Wallace of early Maroon 5 fame utilizing the 1567A on their early hits, and now bands like the Black Keys (who had a custom console made from Altec 1567A’s) the demand, and price, for these funky little color boxes have soared.

Computer recordists everywhere can now get the Altec tube sound - on every input channel, without the hassles of interfacing to esoteric analog gear, and at a much lower cost. Radiator also includes Little Radiator, a simpler single-stage tube pre-amp model based on the Altec 1566A hardware, the little brother of the Altec 1567A.

CUSTOM BOMB :
Check PACE on certain timing and cause bleeping, crashing, then report to the developer. Our one never :)

Cubase 5 air is quite old now and one of the reasons I personaly stopped using it was it's unpredictability with various plugs. Works fine in Studio One. I loved Cubase, used it for years, since Studio one, never go back, well, never say never!!!

@ 147258369,

this & the previous version dont work for me...

I don't know exactly what happens with your own Windows OS
(mine is 'XP Pro SP3 [x86 - 32bit]), and both 'Radiator' versions
('v1.0.9' & 'v1.1.0') work perfectly ! yes (also valid for 'Little Radiator').

The only advice that I can give you is to CAREFULLY read the Installation instructions and all the others related instructions provided by 'Team R2R'.
If you follow them... there's no reason that both versions don't work
for you...

Here you can see that this 'SoundToys Radiator' is working perfectly within Cubase 5 v5.1.1 (Build 120) by 'Team AiR'. There's no main reason that
it doesn't also work with the 'v5.1.2' in case that you use Cubase 5
with their last available update...

@toerag: I guess you're on a Mac that isn't Intel based? Intel i5 3570k, Windows 7 64bit, 8gb ram, and Studio One v2 will run tremendous amounts of everything smoothly (Such as Nebula 3 Pro)
which I hear several others complaining about tie ups all the time.. mostly Mac users.

Ya, I am sure the plugins are working fine, I just can't get them to work. I have the pace ilok bomb. Can't get any soundtoys to work. Not complaining or anything. I totally appreciate R2R and love their releases. I was just wondering if there is any fix for the pace ilok bomb. Tried uninstalling with Revo Uninstaller and tried searching around registry and hidden files to delete any leftover files and still can't get any soundtoys plugs to work.

Tried googling around to see if there were any fixes, if anyone finds a fix for the pace ilok bomb please let me know!

Thanks

Is this working on Win 10?
Come here just to try the software and buy it afterwards.
If I don't like the software I will just DELETE it.

Hey guys, I'm having a trouble with this one on Win 10 (I upgraded recently), I installed it, but I didn't install the DriverSetup.exe (pace license support) that comes with the release cuz I already have this installed on my OS...
The problem comes when I try to bridge this to x64 with Jbridge... says: Team R2R VST loader : Failed loading VST; and then jbridge says: some auxhost processed may still be running (this can happen if a plugin has crashed during the scan), should I force them to terminate? (don't choose "Yes" if you're currently running a host with bridged plugins) ; so I hit yes cuz I'm not running a host.....also at the end of the instalation of radiator was a problem installing Microsoft Visual Redistributable C++ 2008 (x86) so I went to microsoft web page and installed the package sucessfully, but no luck ...I also got installed the SoundToys Native effects v4.0.2 by team AiR long time ago, and this package is still working (with some bugs but hey,...it's not like I have any option, right?) , maybe there's some problem with the different releases here, but I don't wanna take the risk of installing the driver setup that comes with radiator cuz maybe the soundtoys native fx by AiR may not work, also I bridged this package without problem but I can't figure what is the problem here....maybe I'll just let it go ?
