Why hasnt Assigne or Dynamics or Union or some other teams released this??
Some people who hangs here used to complain about how bad some of the air relases this year was.
So i just wonder why those other teams never release dongle protected vst:s?
I think its beacuse it is so hard to crack them and it takes many many hours and they simply dont have the knowledge about the coding.
So to all of you who complained about the previouse Air releases this year

Synthix is protected with eLicenser and ASSiGN/DYNAMiCS/UNiON can't crack this protection, only AiR is able to do that. That's why AiR cracked all Arturia synths, Cubase 5.1 and more! ;)

You are wrong, Synthix is PACE/iLok not Syncrosoft/dongle/eLicenser. So this is not a major surprise, everybody knows that AiR can crack PACE pretty easy because they have the tools already. With Syncro is a different story and I doubt we will see anything syncro cracked soon. Most likely, everybody knows how they did Cubase 5.1.

There's a note

During our tests we discovered a software bug when editing in the SEQ display module. Avoid using it to prevent crashes

It is currently present in every windows version, including demos and latest betas. Author didn't fix that since months

Synthix has two protection options: iLok or eLicenser.

Anyway after a few presets switches one channel is muting. Second channel is crackling sometimes. Same issue in Studio One 2.0.3 / Cubase 6.0.5 (Win 7 32bit).

Yeah, you guys are right, its protection is PACE/iLok. I remember having seen that it's protected by eLicenser that's why I said that. Sorry, guys that I was wrong.

Arturia's new Oberheim SEM V is protected by Soft eLicenser though. I hope AiR can do the same they did with all the other Arturia synths where you magically had the license after running the keygen in your eLicenser Control Center...

So is it worth the protection? Or just another hyped synth already?

I have to agree with you.
There are umerous problems with this release.
Don't forget to put limiter on master channel when you'll try this one.
I had very HOT peaks and glitches.

Sounds like Challenge-response protection to me

It is the same as Arturia Spark that ASSiGN a little while ago

It's been discussed, IIRC, at Gearslutz.

Btw, Horsemen, you of all people should know better than to suggest something as ridiculous as only the demo being dongled.

Just to add, this latest bunch of AiR releases are indeed AiR, but only what's left of them. All of these releases are based on the old PACE/Ilok 1 protection (none so far are Ilok1 EDEN, Ilok 2, eLicenser or Codemeter/WiBu) which means these AiR leftovers are utilising their old, already done ways to crack/decrypt ILok1/PACE while they still can. Soon it'll all be iLok 2, and THEN we'll know if they're still up to task. I hope they are. :)

To run the demo version of this product you won't need any hardware dongle.

Think I`m gonna pass on it now tho.

I have MORE than enough Synths in My VST folder anyway. Just don`t need a buggy-maybe addition.

Any idea whether the newer Lexicon plugs (PCM Native FX Bundle & MPX Native Reverb Plug-Ins) use it?

Yeah, this release is truly buggy. Like nearly every preset seems to be not tuned and has something like a random LFO running in the background. I hope AiR fixes it... I was waiting for it for so long and now such a disappointment...

Way to buggy at this stage in it's development.
It's devs have a lot of balls even putting a price tag on this thing.
Unless the problems are caused by the crack.

thanks air, but a short pleasure , i have the same problem as others user..craklings after change 2 or 3 presets, go out of tuning and then silence..the demoversion is better for trying them. we have to wait for a better crack.

OK, heres my experiences after 20 minutes of checking about:


1) Crackles, pops, static, etc: Caused by high CPU usage. Cause: GUI. Problem goes away when GUI is minimized / not visible on screen.

2) Left channel only, LFO on OSCs, etc: Caused only by certain presets. (See partial list below.) No problems with non-affected presets. No problems with self-made presets. (So far i made 4 and can switch between them just fine.)

3) Self-made presets save and reload fine. Projects save and reload fine.

4) General GUI sluggishness: Not patch related. Legit users have reported the same issues on KVR.


Conclusion so far: Patch generally works. Some presets screw up the synths function. Could be just a problem with the presets, could be something AP. Unclear at this point. As long as one makes his own presets, everything should be alright. This info subject to correction if / when further testing reveals new info...


NewInfoEdit1: LFO can be removed by pulling down the Depth A knob. (duh)

NewInfoEdit2: Definitely seems to be a problem with the presets, not the synth or the patch. I just fixed PL LA1 XO so it no longer causes the synth to go nuts...more details soon...

EDIT: PS: Someone who has the Demo could try the following:

1) Move all presets that came with this release out of the folder

2) Put the ones from the Demo in and see if that makes any difference

(I dont have the Demo myself (and dont intend to get it) so i cannot check myself.)

I think commercial version is also buggy
