Unique orchestral sound library for guitarists
East West presents with MIDI Guitar Series Vol 1 a unique 18 GB sound library with orchestral virtual instruments for guitarists. Together with the Fishman Triple Play Wireless Guitar Controller (not included) allows you to trigger and play any of the 190 instruments via electric guitar. The controller recognizes playing styles such as vibrato and sends the corresponding Expression modulations/commands. The samples are also those of the well-known Symphonic Orchestra Library by East West . Reprogrammed and optimized for the Fishman controller, you can now play cellos, violins, basses, flutes, harps, organs and many other instruments in real time.

Vol 1 Overview
- unique library that can be played via an electric guitar + Fishman triple play wireless controller
- 44.1 kHz / 16bit samples from the famous East West Symphonic Orchestra
- a total of 190 instruments divided into 4 categories: Strings, Brass, Woodwinds and Percussion

You need R2R PLAY/OPUS release to use this library (as a witch has said...)

Read the included txt file in the DECiBEL dir for install instructions.

Absolutely no disrespect to the uploader ..... but why is this even a east West product ??? Wouldnt it just be easier to make ALL these sounds using your own guitar and using "Jam Origin MIDI Guitar 2" softie !!
I just dont even understand this build , kind'a silly if ya ask me !!??

Actually the opposite idea required here. This IS for people who prefer to play fretboards instead of using keyboards as controllers.

Description says "Reprogrammed and optimized for the Fishman controller". So how optimized is that for ANY fretboard midi generator ? (even software based like Jam Origin MIDI Guitar).
It would be nice if East West provided more details explaining what "Reprogrammed and optimized" actually involves.
Looking for details of how the libraries support Poly mode versus Mono mode, enabling string bending using separate MIDi channels for each string, etc, etc, where's the details?

A bit more detail here... (but still not much)

Extract...
These new EastWest MIDI Guitar Instruments, differ from the current EastWest virtual instruments, which are optimized for keyboards. They have been selected and designed to take advantage of the complex and unique waveforms produced by a guitar’s vibrating strings.
"We have been testing MIDI guitar systems for many years, and the Fishman TriplePlay Wireless MIDI Guitar Controller is the best in class," says EastWest producer Doug Rogers. "So EastWest and Fishman worked closely together, re-programming the instruments and making adjustments to the software specifically for the Fishman MIDI Guitar Controller.
It opens up a whole new world for guitar players who have been grappling with decades-old technology. I know many of our users consider themselves to be guitar players first, so they will now be able to compose 'anything' using their preferred instrument, instead of a keyboard."

UPDATE:
There's a manual here
https://media.soundsonline.com/manuals/EW-MIDI-Guitar-Series-User-Manual.pdf

Although there are nice library features related to controllers, I couldn't find much that is especially guitar oriented. The section below was the only bit that stood out as guitar oriented.
Extract..
MIDI Channel: There are a variety of MIDI mode options available in PLAY, including Omni, which receives MIDI on all channels, and channels 1 through 16 which receive MIDI on the specified channel.
With the introduction of the MIDI Guitar Instruments Series, two additional MIDI modes have been made available. Multi is the default MIDI mode that all instruments within the MIDI Guitar Series load up with. This mode allows per-note control of Mod Wheel (CC1), Expression (CC11) and Pitch Bend by sending those MIDI messages only to the voices on the same MIDI channel as the controller event. MPE is a new MIDI standard developed by the MIDI Manufacturer Association to accommodate a new class of MIDI controllers like the Roli Keyboard, the Linnstrument, and the EigenHarp. It receives MIDI on all channels, and applys MIDI CCs to notes sent on the same channel as the MIDI CC message.
In addition, there is a Master Channel (which is channel 1 in PLAY) that applies MIDI CCs to all notes on every channel.

Couldn't get this to work with Tripleplay software. Had to install Play's vst2. Seems that the vst3 didn't work.
