You might like old fashion 20 years old loops but technology is old. When you change metronome sounds hearing like shit cause of old technology or bad slice editing. You cant compare loop product to instrument product.

This lib is nothing special for me. More a 'see, it's real and works, wait for more libs' teaser fom R2R!

The Play GUI is also outdated. Not scalable also! But hey, i'm wiling to test more libs. ^^

It was made for Kontakt at first
But as soon as E.W created their own "player" engine and made it iLok protected they ported all EW librarys for the EW play engine so if you have the kontakt version you dont need this

Yeah, the anniversary collection has a lot of EW oldest libraries that were originally released as AKAI CDs or Gigasampler etc and later converted into Play.

This one seems to have been an INTAKT library, which was that loop based Kontakt companion :)

Yeah first Intakt then it was ported for Kontakt and then the play engine as soon as EW decided to iLok protect their librarys and created EW Play Engine.
It took over 15 years before it got cracked

The moment you turn on sync you can hear pops & clicks on loop points within pretty much every sample in this library... All my settings are correct & after some Googling I found that East West libraries have known problems like this & many customers sought out refunds (allot unsuccessfully). The library is of pretty low quality anyway but will be interesting to see how DAW syncing holds up with the bigger & more advanced libraries

Hello everyone,

so just to clarify for everyone. The East West 25th Anniversary Collection contains 30 of their legacy GIGA and INTAKT products updated to work on the Play 6 engine. At a rate of 1 release per day, these 30 will be all available at end of February.

What R2R didn't clarify yet is if they also cracked the latest East West player, which is OPUS, the one on which the new updated libraries work better and without glitches. If they cracked just the Play 6 player, then we should be expecting these 30 legacy libraries, and the old Play ones, like Hollywood strings, Ra, Silk etc.

It will be interesting to see if they manage to also crack Opus, and if they do, how they will manage to upload for everyone the East West Hollywood Orchestra Opus Edition, which in it's fullest form is over 900 GB. So for now, until the end of February, most probably you will receive everyday one of their 30 East West legacy libraries available for the old player, which is Play 6:

These libs may have some historical value but most (if not all) of them sound like crap by today's standard.
If they really want to release all of these, they could as well do this at a pace of a few days instead of month and carry on.

The latter statement may imply that other trustful groups, among which there are torrenting sites, may be releasing the big libraries.

If they did I really don't see the point of releasing the old Play engine player and those 30 GIGA/ Intakt legacy libraries which most probably no one will like, because they are very old and sound outdated. It was maybe better to release directly the Opus player with the new and modern libraries, updated and without glitches.

Anyway, we will see what is coming!

What a crap!... just like this EW 56 Strat library ... cruel and so old ... not usable.

I bought the ghostwriter library a long time ago and was fascinated by the name of the library ... but even here I was just disappointed.

I'm also one of the few who have shared quite a few UVI libraries here, and I'm expecting more than just this old junk from EastWest.

As someone already wrote, nobody needs these libraries these days ... pure waste on the hard drive.

If you, R2R, actually have the new things from EastWest, share them with us and spare us this cheap nonsense.
