I use these 2 all the time as sends on a parallel bus from all other busses (-8 , -22 and I think -15 on the plug channels themselves) all goes to the mix bus, dial in the bottom end and excitment and it fills out a mix very nicely, very analog-esque way to do it. I learned it from Jacquire King's video but he used the shitty waves vid and just the exciter I think, I expanded on it and it's worked well.

It's based on Aphex Aural Exciter and Optical Big Bottom Model 204. I had the hardware until 5 years or so and sold it.
Pretty good piece with BIG and sweet sound. Easy to carry away with it because it sounds so good you want more
Anyway, the Avid Aphex bundle is pretty good too and can be used to sweeten or fatten tracks in a lovely way.
You may achieve similar results with BBE Sonic Sweet - but this one is special in it's own way.

The way i get this "Waves are shite mate." is that.. quality wise there are better plugins out there and with their update plan model business to repay what you already bought doesnt justify the quality.

Yes many top producers use Waves but all these top producers have also hardware units worth multiple thousand dollars.. so yeah using one or two cheap plugins to get them where they want will not drop quality on their product.. but what if you are mixing totally ITB..

you can get the manual for that. Rich ppl always exaggerate how cheap things are. The model 204 is a little more than 50bucks. Put an 8 in front of the 50. 850 plus shipping so 1000.
