not sure how VR is testing their stuff but this one always has licence problems it seems...the last version working properly is the one from R2R, but it's already 2 years old. hopefully they'll get it right at some point! Wish them luck! we're not short of plugins anyway :)

You know where the licenses are on Windows? I've looked in my users/public/public documents/audiority. Don't see em there...

they're probably in a hidden folder. windows explore settings u can turn on "show hidden folders"
make music, not walls.

They are all in this folder. If you don't see anything, just uncheck "hide protected system files" in windows (folder options) and you'll see them all.

take any licence file in that licence folder, make a copy of it, rename it to "Klirrton Grindstein.alf" and drag it back into the folder

Swear it seems like the same plugin packs gets regurgitated every two days

Tested a few of them for about 5 mins each. Deleight shows up as unlicensed. The Grindstein's license is missing (You can copy any license and rename it to "Klirrton Grindstein.alf" to get it working). The Overseer, The Shredder, The Bluesman, The Driver & Tube Modulator have periodic silence even though they're shown as registered. Very similar to the last release.

If several plugins shows as Demo, you could try this, copy-paste these lines exactly in Notepad:


cd C:\Users\Public\Documents\Audiority\Licenses
attrib -S -H *.*

Then save your document on desktop as Audiority.bat

Note: you can give it any name, but the last four characters (the period, followed by 3 letters .bat) are very important.

WIndows' Notepad have the tendency to add automatically the extension .txt to any file's name. If you are in this case, save anyway, quit Notepad, then edit the name of your file, delete only the four characters .txt.

Back to your desktop, right-click on "Audiority.bat" and choose "Run as administrator".

Then quit and relaunch your DAW, see if all Audiority plugins shows as registered. In some configurations, you'll possibly have to reboot to make plugins work as they should.

Having trouble finding the license files in windows. Anybody able to help so I can change The Grindstein pedal's license name?

As indicated just above you, the licenses are all in:

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Audiority\Licenses

But you can't just edit them with Notepad or with an hex editor! All licenses are ciphered / encrypted, if ever you'd really want to change them then you'd have to decrypt them, then recalculate / re-encode / re-encrypt them.

Barely possible, unless you are a highly skilled hacker / developer / genius.

Here's what worked for me.
1. uninstall and clean up everything.
2. reinstall the pack.
3. go to licenses folder. copy it to a safe place.
4. start you daw, insert the bluesman plug.
5. check that it is registered to alf. (that means that at this moment its license is ok.
(click on the audiority - in the upper left corner.
6. refuse the newsfeed.
7. click "save" - it will answer that you have to restart you daw. Do it!

Try the plug again - if it says - no license - go to you saved licenses and paste them into original folder.

imho. after you install and start using the plug - it tries to make a call home.
if it's block - it kills the license. Mind you - it's not the final solution. who knows what else is going on there. (at least you licenses are working)

Awww, look at you on your soapbox. You can whine about my comment that triggered you all you want. The fact is, VR shares are endless problems that you can see all over this forum. If my comment saves people the hassle of WASTING their precious time installing and experiencing the same headaches, then good, that's more time "the crowd" can spend on things that actually work.
