Arturia FX Collection 2 v2.0.1-R2R

V.R brought us VSL and the only ever version of the amazing Cube-Tec mastering plugins. i will forever be in their debt.
R2R abandoned Polyverse, V.R picked up on it. thanks so much for Comet.
R2R while frying the biggest fish, still relies on V.R as motivation to do it right.
maybe VR could try Sonnox, Cube-Tec, GRM Tools Complete II so R2R will pickk up on it :D

There are open mirror links in V.R releases. Were they ever doing business?

R2R seems to use kind of VST/VST3 loaders (small 3kBytes DLL & VST3 files) each pointing to related true-VST3 file (all of them are located into %ProgramData%\Arturia\PRODUCT\x64).

Culprit are - perhaps (confirmed: surely) - these 3 kBytes loaders! Komplete Kontrol loads small VST loader, itself loads its true-VST3 plugin file elsewhere. Probably Komplete Kontrol software/plugin doesn't like this!

Strange fact, Arturia (I mean... official installed files) VST 2.4 and VST3 are strictly identical, per plugin (each plugin file have same SHA-1, either for .dll and its .vst3 equivalent).

NEXT... Now tested on my regular Win10 (where I have Komplete Kontrol): work like a charm, but requires file/folder operations and .vst3 to .dll renaming...

First from %ProgramData%\Arturia, by searching *.vst3, I've picked all 22 .vst3 files, have copied them to a separate folder (eg: new folder created on Desktop).

Then, from this new folder, I have renamed all .vst3 to .dll (keep the same filename, but change its extension ONLY to .dll).

Into C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\VSTPlugins 64 bit I've created a subfolder named Arturia, then I have copied all 22 .dll files to this Arturia folder.

Don't forget at the moment, Komplete Kontrol uses .dll VST 2.4 only (VST3 isn't supported, except Kontakt).

Take a look on another comment elsehere in this post about issue concerning R2R's installer: after installation, all NKS resources are located in wrong place (into C:\ProgramData, instead of C:\ProgramData\Arturia).


After finished files/folders operations, effects have their NKS presets, any effect can be loaded into Komplete Kontrol software/plugin. Screens captures show this (witout crashes):

Crk'ing method are totally different: R2R uses an Arturia Service Center emulator named ASCEMU2 (totally transparent). V.R is "brute-force" crk'ed DLL/VST3 files (no emulator).

Hi, normally V.R provides uninstaller for each product, but to do this task manually:

- Delete Arturia folder from %ProgramData% (in general, from C:\ProgramData).

- Delete Arturia folder from C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3

- From your regular VST (2.4) plugins folder (where all your VST dlls are located), delete Arturia subfolder.

Run Regedit (Registry Editor) as administrator. From left pane, browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, then SOFTWARE. In this branch you'll must see Arturia subkey: delete it!

Close Regedit.
No needs to reboot, but you'll can do it if you prefer...

Install TEAM R2R ASCEMU2 (v1.0.6).

Then install either V Collection 8 v8.4.1 (or more recent v8.5.0) provided by R2R and/or FX Collection 2 v2.0.1 (R2R) - depending if you'll want instruments, audio FXs, or both.

It's normal, R2R are wrong in its installer (bug) about NKS folder locations (named "Third Party" by Arturia).

To fix it : open Explorer, type %ProgramData% into path bar (you'll must see the content of C:\ProgramData - it's an hidden folder).

Inside ProgramData, you can see Arturia subfolder, so it's normal.

But you see also the 22 others (all are based on Arturia FX product names, such Bus FORCE, Chorus Dimension-D, and so on)...

Select each of these 22 folders (and not others be careful) -> click on Bus FORCE, then by holding Ctrl key select each others such Chorus DIMENSION-D, Chorus Jun-6... until lastest Rev SPRING-636 (22 folders must are selected). Then press Ctrl+X (to cut them).

Goto into Arturia subfolder, then press Ctrl+V (to paste/move them) - accept all replacements (if asked), also confirm all security messages because ProgramData (and below) is assumed as "sensible" folder by Windows...

When finished, run Komplete Kontrol as standalone application (not the plugin!). Go to Edit > Preferences menu (or press Ctrl+, keys to do same), click Library tab, click "Factory" button (if not lit), click "Rescan" button and wait. Click "Close".

I've tested this tip and it works fine!
