EDIT: The info provided from the Seventh Heaven post states that this particular reverb had "200 files" embedded for protection reasons. This might explain the extra file size. Wow!

From what I can read in the manual it's both. Some Fusion IRs who get modulated/synthetized by the plugin engine into a a variety of reverbs you can modify to suit every need.

So you think it uses a pair of (or just one) highly modifiable impulse responses to do the job?
It's hard to believe that a 34MB installer, with no extra library, is a convolution reverb.

Does size still mean something in digital domain (see jpg vs BMP or ape vs flac)? It's hard to know without dwelling into the code but the main consideration is that this is not a replica of a particular reverb unit, but a general multipurpose one, so not all aspects of a Fusion-IR might be needed. Some reverbs for example only use the ER of a file and then modulate the tail. No need for GB of stuff.

Have you checked VST path?
R2R sometimes does not overwrite VST plugins, you need to manually delete official vsts.

Just found out it is broken as well, after few years using it. Lol. Liquidsonics knows how to hide their shit. Seventh Heaven, Lustrous Plate and now this.

Pick one preset and try change the early reflection pattern. Mute the Late Reverb section, and set the plugin to full Wet so you'll will (not) hear it. You'll see what I mean.

It's not totally unusable though, everything else is pretty much intact. Just the early reflection pattern.

when you change the early reflection pattern with one of the presets, it will completely remove the early reflection from the chain, you can change every other settings with the presets except for the early reflection pattern.

you can do the experiment to yourself.

1. Pick preset, set to 100% wet
2. turn off late reverb, so you'll only hear the wet early reflection (and Low Boost) on that preset.
3. change early reflection pattern to anything else, the early reflection display will turn out blank and suddenly the level will drop to very low, which suggest that no early reflection at all, only the Low Boost.
4. If you pull down the Low Boost to off. no sound will be produced.
5. Change early pattern to the one that comes with that particular preset, it will produce sound again.

If you are looking for Seventh Heaven replacement, and also by Liquidsonics, the Reverberate3 with its M7 presets is the another option. It doesn't have some of the M7 version 2 algo (those brighter modern reverb) but it is as close as it can get but with tones of modulation option, echo etc etc which I can say a lot better than the 7th Heaven, feature wise. The only thing it is lacking is the ability to change the Early Reflection pattern, it will use the one that comes with the Fusion IR presets but with the option to modulate it.

I use Reverberate3 a lot after I gave up the 7th Heaven and I like it more than the 7th heaven now. The plugin is so deep with a lot of features and I can say with confidence that it is the best IR Reverb Convolver for now, and I've tested a lot of them. The True Stereo Simulation, the Delay, Chorus, analogue phase EQ and tons of modulation can get you a lot better results if you know what you are doing. It has steep learning curve, from setting up the browser, organizing, setting bookmark to built your own go-to modulated dual TS-SIM IR presets in it but trust me, it will be worth it.

Or just use the preset like a normal person. M7, 480, 224 and some factory fusion IR presets. All high-quality.
