Is this update only or can it also be installed if no former version is installed? (aka one can throw away the former installer from one´s archive HD)
I think it´s a legit question because this release has the same file size as the full installer, and it was often the case in the past already that releases tagged as "update" actually have been full installers, just as such have been an update to former releases.

Thanks a lot for the information!

That means the title of the post is wrong and it would be good to have a correct one.
Not that anyone’s life depends on this differentiation, but it makes things easier to sort and evaluate, and it’s not a big deal to just put it correctly.

“Update” should imho only be in the title if the release can’t do a full install on its own, but needs the former version installed. You people agree?

Did uninstall and installed this.
As usual with many installs, both legit and cracked, the installer gives NO INDICATION OF WHAT VST FOLDER STRUCTURE/LOCATION WILL BE AFTER SELECTING.
In other words, the path is not shown.
This installer DOES create a "Toontrack" subfolder inside whatever location folder is selected or created. To avoid redundant subfolders, simply choose your main VST folder location.
Am I being picky?

Agree VR should really learn how to make installers like R2R and they did the same when they where peace out amny years ago later on they becasme assigne it got a little better but it wasnt until they became R2R they made good installers

So true. You can change some things only messing with the registry, but others are set in stone. I ended up making everything but the plugins install in the programdata folder for the sake of my sanity lol

i think i have installed 2.4.1 on E: HD long time ago.
now when i install this update... i doesnt find 2.4.1... 2.4.1 still work tho.
and 3.2.3 open separately, i see the interface but no drum graphics at all.
i had already some drum libraries, but noone works (or somes but still no drum graphic), it said to upgrade all my libraries wth....is it serious??????? lol
and if i uninstall this, will it bug my 2.4.1 too? hellp lol !!!!!!!

edit: ok i found a drum who works which have graphic folder, but the sound sound worst than SD2...
damn yeah i need to download all the libraries again :( this suck....
is there a way to not download the whole libraries but just some files it need like graphic folder and?? anyway ill try

Superior Drummer 2 and Superior Drummer 3 are separate programs and can both be installed alongside (SD 3 is not supposed to replace SD 2 when you install it).
SD 3 has its own libraries that you can find here.
SD 3 can play also libraries from SD 2, but if your library version is too old, it needs to be updated, for example the N.Y. Avatar. Unfortunately the updates are not all available here.

So just keep your SD 2 to work with SD 2 libraries that you have, and for SD 3 download the new libraries that have been released for it.
Also try the EZX libraries, they have much smaller download sizes but have an already mix ready sound, maybe you will even prefer that.

Why your SD 2 libraries sound worse than on SD 3 can only have reasons like that you had been making sound settings with effects and EQs in SD 2 or on your DAW already. Technically there can’t be a difference in sound between the two if all settings are the same.
