•ADDED Noise One Shot mode: In one shot mode noise samples are only played once. One shot mode can be accessed through the Voice section in the Noise generator drop-down menu

•FIXED Massive X crashed on instantiating in Logic Pro X 10.5

most likely not, I have the same problem with Modo drums - I scanned every corner of the internet but there was no way to get around it other than getting an AVX processor :(

i'm slowly assembling a new pc, have almost all parts, excepting nvme pcie4, graphic card and cpu.
after all these years 100% intel, i will happily grab an amd cpu.

i'm waiting for the next ryzen 4000 series, and the next Navi amd graphic card.

AMD processors have AVX extensions since Excavator - 4th generation Bulldozer core. CPUs like 4 core/8 threads FX-8350. You can buy it for a bag of peanuts these days, and it's still very good if you invest in an SSD and 8-16GB of DDR3 RAM.

Core I7 4790K (1150) year 2013 its an 7 years old CPU . with avx. u can buy 2nd hand for 120 Euros. or I7 4770K (AVX ) 80-100 Eur. its an QuadCore with Hyperthreding also 8 CORE .

now i series cpu in some laptop has 10th gen i9 processor, 10th i7 pc/mac only $2000(new razer or new mac 13'), but that was not really needed in music.

huge package, install, limited things, scanning at start up cost an hour... massive x now standing with shit plug, the serum.
if you need a wavetable synth, go pigment or buy a hardware argon8. those of them are:
smaller package,
less resource use,
faster speed,
no preset scanning,
almost no bugs,
lower price,
best sound quality,
no need avx,
doesn't requires high spec computer,
hardware with software and plugins in daw integration,
multiple i/o and routing with other hardware and racks,
line level recording chain for effects,
keyboard included,
reselling if you need,
give me a reason to have the massive x?

Pigment uses less CPU than Massive X? Mmmmh im not sure.
Either way i agree that Massive X until now has not shown much.
Is somebody that has Serum or Pigment using it? I would like to know and why.

Why do you need a reason? Go buy an Argon8 if you prefer. I Have Serum & Massive X & have non of the issues you are having but if its not for you then life goes on. We are literally spoilt for choice with synths these days hard & soft.

is it working with original NI software at the same time. The R2R version did not work for me probably because I have original NI software installed

it broke the preset loading for previous versions.

you should use the last one 1.3.0 to get a working one and forget older versions.

Installing this totally messed up my MassiveX directories from my previous setup. FYI - it will dump the expansions and the factory library to your C:\Users\Public\Documents directory for some reason (and doesn't let you change that in the installer; 1GB to C in a weird spot).

However, it's easy enough to copy the folders to where you need them and then alter the registry to point to the right place (like all NI software), by looking for the Massive X, Massive X Factory Library, Pulse, Scene and Rush entries at HKLM\Software\Native Instruments.

Its about V.R's crap habit, V.R dont care which installations or files exist on PC. Many times V.R installers deleted or changed files and folders from my PC like Dune, Superior etc.

i repacked it with the native instruments installer, and separate libraries.
it enable to change the files location, even on different drive, update, install on demand, etc... as the legit one.
it use R2R keygen for registration as usual with this release.
i don't know the VR way to unlock but it use R2R keyfile.
The Retail Setup Version

everybody can extract patched files from the VR packaging if the common files folder is a problem. but you will need the keygen to activate.

It seems really weird to me, they are losing users as a result, yes?
I have yet to read one review that doesn't at least have reservations more likely a long list of negatives... I don't think anyone without the required chip is missing out...

If you mean AVX this strategy is not new thing. Adobe forcing to people for using latest CPU's, Autodesk forcing to use Linux or MAC for some softwares. I believe NI want to eliminate people who cant or wont spend money for upgrading CPU, if you wont spend money for new CPU you wont spend money for software. We dont know sales but they have statistics, if AVX could be problem for exist or possible customers we never could see AVX forced Massive X again.

What really boggles my mind is that most of you just install shit without even attempting to back your crap up first..... I been using this for year and it works perfectly(The Full Version) but the free version works Perfectly...And it's Dummy Proof!!!!! After first full backup when done! and you install something and don't work you don't even have to do a full restore! it does an intelligent restore which only looks for what was changed from the original install. For me it just takes like 2min's and i am back to where i started before i installed the program that broke it.. Also in full version there are options called incremental or differential backup which when you do install something and it works you make one of these which is just the changes that are made from the original full backup...Here are some links to the download and information on the options!!
