Yes but it requires online authorization. It can't be authorized offline by using the serial alone.
This is like the Cakewalk or Native Instruments Raum releases. Free (as in free beer) software, but now you can actually use it as if it was fully free and aren't dependent on the company, their server or their whims anymore. I love it.

The job they did with the plugin alliance stuff was amazing, taking into account all the obfuscation, encryption, etc stuff used to protect the binaries, (offline, runtime, etc)

If r2r defeated one of those companies/ products, a few hours later, all the other guys would not only fix everything, but they would add 10 extra layers of encryption, obfuscation, etc etc, making any eventual crack even harder.


I wouldn't be surprised if r2r were working on those individual protections, and when they have found the 'key's that opens everything, they would then release a batch of those ilok- based apps, like 40 or 50 products, from 20+ companies.

Why would r2r be working on those uncracked plugins ? Because even if they have no intention of releasing them on audioz, that allows them to learn new stuff, and become even better crackers.

No offense to team RET but this software is not protected by iLok other Sonible products uses iLok but this one is not protected by iLok so saying the "PROTECTiON : FUSiON/iLOK2" is not right.

If you've got Sonible Smart:EQ2 you really do not need its 'dog in a blanket' engine with some thereabouts presets and a slider. With its 'idiotic' interface, you literally don't know what you are doing.
P.S. The original free installer from manufacturer's site is 58.086.832 bytes, and this one just 19.126.799 bytes (!?).
