Fuck me dead, the damn thing works. All those demo files that used to beep like a maniac -- they don't beep any longer -- even when your computer is online and you've downloaded the demo files from Bitwig!

I don't care how many hidden easter eggs there are as long as I don't find the damn things.

This and reaper are the best for me hands down, Bitwig is so good because the plugin sandboxing and it has best performance than Ableton (IMO) and once I want to get crazy with mixing I go to reaper for adding lots of plugins without any issue.

can someone explain what to do after the jar file is replaced and the activation file is loaded? are we required to setup an email account with bitwig still, or did i do something incorrectly? still showing the login screen after everything is loaded.

Nope, after replacing .jar open BW, a popup appears, search at the bottom for a small message like "offline?" , click there, at the right a button to "load authorization file" (Im telling out of memory, not in windows ATM) , search auth file, click-enter, done.

ok thanks. there must be something left on my system from the old legit 2.4 Bitwig I had installed. I thought I got the registry cleaned, but I guess not. does anyone have any tips on finding EVERYTHING Bitwig installs so I can remove it, in order to do a clean install?

DSP and I/O meter don't seem to work. Is there some on/off setting for this, that I don't know?

Not here, think there is no toggle switch for this, I never had this happen, nor in v1, v2
sometimes with internal devices there is so low consumption that you dont see any activity until you open the graphic.

Strange. I replaced the jar with the previous (not fixed) version, I tested it on the same project and it works fine. I think I'll keep the "not fixed" version, since I had no problems with it anyway.
I don't know if it's relevant, but there is no activation option for me, in both versions.
