Yeah, because nobody else ever records or edits dialogue in a different DAW than Pro Tools :p No clue why they went this route.

There is only one explanation, they scare of cracks. They know most of post production studios using Pro Tools and they want to limit user range. Adobe always using same strategy and forcing people to use newest CPU and OS, Autodesk have Linux or OS X only softwares etc. These guys knows if you have old PC you wont spend money for buying their product.

im sure they did surveys of their legit users and the number must have been so crushingly high for pro tools that they went that route. or they will follow up with other daws once the dev costs are in. its a niche product nonetheless.

In like mentioned a ton of people especially in the movie industry use Cubase and other Steinberg Dawes or dialogue and composing two movies weird that they do not make a vst3 or VST
