Man, in my opinion,
Cypher and Strobe 2, from fxpansion, are the best and most 'analog sounding' vst instruments.
Especially Strobe2, the sounds, pads, plucks, leads, etc, sound so fat, so 'gritty', so 'thick', dense. .. the fxpansion guys must really know how to analyse those hardware components, and turn them into top quality dsp code.

I swear, when i play with my virus c, and then try to load a vst instrument, strobe2 is the only vst that gives me the same analog feeling and sound.
Of course, this is just my opinion...

I'd really recommend you to try this cypher AND also strobe2... you will see how 'shallow' , weak, lifeless, most vst instruments, even the big heavily advertised 'instrument of the year', like synthmaster (which i own) will sound, compared to these 2 boys :)

Unfortunately, many people don't even know them. ..a few years ago, it was all about massive... then, because some big guys were using it, sylenth1 became the 'thing'.. today, it's all about serum...serum...serum... like serum was the best sounding vst ever made. .which i personally find quite bad.. like the PADS... even many free vst instruments can make better pads than serum...just saying. And because of some 'trend', a bunch of people will totally miss some true gems.

Will do. Thanks for the info. I think the installation was too difficult for this or strobe in past releases so I just left it. I’ll take a look at this and see if I can do it.

A virus sounds everything but not analog .Personnally I had tested Strobe 2 and I didn't find it awesome,I've deleted it immediately.
But I don't find bad Cypher 2.I just hate the 1 minute it takes to load.

Would anybody be so kind to do me a step by step guide to install for Mac. I appreciate their is .readme file but is very vague as it doesn’t explain what to do with other files in the file. Thanks again.

Nope, it's the legit installer that is faulty, R2R can't do anything about it. And when you manage to run it VST is there.
You have to fix permission first.
Put Cypher2_v2.4.10.1_Mac folder on your desktop and run:

chmod a+x ~/Desktop/Cypher2_v2.4.10.1_Mac/Install\ Cypher2\ Mac.app/Contents/MacOS/FXpansionInstallSystem


The run installer by double clicking:

Install\ Cypher2\ Mac.app/Contents/MacOS/FXpansionInstallSystem


(if you run .app normally it will ask your for .fis installer script for some reason, and then install nothing so you must run with terminal.)

EDIT : For installation on Mac Os HSierra the Above Tip WORX FINE !!
BUT I had so many Problems Registering the Cypher strobe and else that I decided To download this release "FXpansion.Geist2.v2.0.6.5.Incl.Patched.and.Keygen-R2R" WHERE there s an old license Manager "FXpansion.License.Manager.v2.0.17.WIN.OSX.Incl.Keygen-R2R" I give you exact Names So that You make no Mistakes R2R are right The last license manager is soooo buggy You can restart it cut the internet nothing happens That Old license Manager Sees all products And I think That Fxpansion cannot tweak it Cause Some paying customers bought Geist OR old Products & Nothing new
Works like a charm Be CAREFULL the inclosed license Manager within Cypher propose already update :FXpansion Cypher2 v2.4.10.3
I didn't accepted it (maybe there s someone braver than me who could try as all works now)

I have the same problem With Geist That Should Work with this method BUT I think The File was Spoiled and opens as txt Cause I found it unzipped on Ru tracker I tried one Zipped but same stuff it open txt I will see that tomorrow Now Paris is burning and My heart Is Bleeding :)
