New functions and improvements

Faster loading with ARA: In DAWs with ARA support, extensive projects now load considerably faster.

Bug fixes

Fixed: During ARA operation with Mixcraft and Cakewalk, blob monitoring and scrubbing were no longer available in Melodyne if you started playback in the DAW.

Fixed: With Melodyne in Player Mode (i.e. without activating the program on the computer being used), the ARA plug-in sometimes crashed when you switched from Track Edit Mode to Clip Edit Mode.

Fixed: If the detection was aborted after a transfer with the Melodyne plug-in and you subsequently tried to move audio material whilst holding down the ALT key, a crash was sometimes the result.

Fixed: If an audio file was selected in the track pane of the stand-alone implementation of Melodyne studio, adjusting the fine tuning in the inspector sometimes led to a crash."

NEVER use the latest OS(from ANY platform) on your money-making music rig. OS developers like to use the general public as PAYING beta testers and are WELL KNOWN for releasing bug-riddled operating systems AND updates. My advice is to always stay AT LEAST a version behind on operating systems and wait around 3 months before deploying new updates. 3 months should give you enough time to find out about updates that "harm more than help". I'm actually 3 OS versions behind as I still use Windows 7. Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 are not showing me enough reasons to update and they could potentially cause COSTLY issues with my rent-paying rig.

Hello Friend.
I'm not sure exactly why latest melodyne will not open inside a fresh install Studio one 4.1.1 and Win10pro64 1809. I have tried different Microsoft Visual c++ 2008,2010,2013,,2015 packages with no luck. :(

Standalone is ok tho.

There is not much about v4.2.1.003 bugs right now, except inside Cubase (Google Google Google).
So it would the original itself, not R2R's revisited version.
You confirm your previous version worked ? Which one was it ? For the same version of Studio One ?

One hour later of testing:

Did a fresh install of:
Windows 10 Pro x64 1803+Studio one 4.1.1,Latest Melodyne - ALL OK
Windows 10 Pro x64 1809+Studio one 4.1.1,Latest Melodyne - Not Working Here.

It will not open up with W10 1809 and I tried all Visual c++ there is up to 2017 and it still wont open.

Ahmet reports it's working at his computer so I'll give up for now my friends.

UPDATE FIX:

After a good nightsleep I finally found the problem.

It seems that the installer puts the melodyne.vst3 file in C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Celemony which my S4.1.1 will not recognize.

The fix was simple, moving melodyne.vst3 to: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3

All Hunky-Dory. Thanks again friends.

Seems to work fine for me in C95, W10. I can't get (buggy af) S1 4 to scan any plugins w/o blacklisting, tho. Seems to work in most other DAWs ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

To DAW - Not really sure what your reaction to my post is all about. Maybe you didn't get enough sleep so I'll be kind. My "prose" is simply MY way of protecting myself. If you have another way OR you don't feel the need to be protected, that's your business. But there's no need to be in a rage with me because I don't want Windows 10. I've seen it on my sister's computer and it looks like a damn app from a smart phone. I don't like that approach personally and I don't like software that caters to the stupid by making it dumbed-down and "easy to use". I'm intelligent and a little research is always preferred over software that takes away my control in exchange for being "easy to use". Also, if Windows 10 is so much better than Windows 7, then why are more people STILL using Windows 7 than Windows 10?

Now you get the chance to explain to us all WHY Windows 10 is so much better than Windows 7. I mean really. With all of that rage, I would expect a plethora of benefits to have been screamed out at us. HaHa!!

That's a solid line of thinking, but how are you going to avoid auto updates on Windows 10? Eventually, if you want to keep using Windows on an online machine, you're gonna have to upgrade to 10, and it will force its updates on you.

All removed and a rock solid WIN10 AFAIC.

Really dont want to fuel slightly offtopic discussions but there are no hacks to completely destroy edge, cortana etc. Same is true for telemetry. It cannot be turned off completely and that's a fact. So in other words you cannot master win 10 as you call it. Its impossible. Win 10 will master YOU. Not to mention the fact that using warez / pirated stuff on win 10 will become VERY dangerous in the future. Mark my words. Good day.

It is wrong information dude. You are lowkey promoting win 10, or at least defending it, when you shouldn't do that at all. You are of course entitled to your opinion and maybe i should have worded it differently. I do know about the hacks, well aware of them, i did some deep research, and what you say is simply not true. You cannot completely turn off or destroy these services, telemetry etc, simply because it was implemented twice, completely isolated and hidden from your view and access. Not to mention the fact that all latest Intel chips have a seperate hidden OS which works independendly from the main OS and it still collects and sends all your information, activities etc to microsoft. Thats a fact and it was buried and hidden so deep that nobody can access it. FACT.

Maybe YOU need to do a deeper research. Win 10 and Intel is as evil as it gets and they made sure that people cannot destroy these telemetry services that run in the background and collect and send information. You think microsoft is stupid?

Stop promoting or defending win 10, its the worst and most evil OS in history. Like i said you cannot master win 10.

Win 10 will master YOU while getting you to believe that you are on top of IT, when IT will always remain on top of YOU while giving you the impression that you are in control when you are not and never will be. Not on win 10. Impossible to master that OS. Microsoft made sure of that, all facts but again, of course you are entitled to your own opinion but its just that, an opinion.

Im well aware of the hacks you speak of. They do NOT destroy these telemetry services completely. Good day.

PS: Yes this discussion is slightly offtopic but i think important, because you promote and defend something that shouldnt be defended. Its the same as if i promote to you "poison" and tell you "its ok to take this poison, its not that bad" and as you can see some people (at least one) fell for that. Food for thought.

EDIT. An experiment revealed, that even with these hacks you speak of that apparently destroy all telemetry etc, someone found out that data is still being send to microsoft over 500 times a day, thats roughly 20 times an hour. FACT. It was measured with external devices. Data was still being send after all these hacks you speak of were applied. FACT but believe whatever you want.

So yes you CANNOT turn off telemetry on win 10, FACT. And if you have a newer Intel chip (starting with Kaby Lake and newer), there is a hidden OS that was buried deep within, completely isolated and independent from whatever main OS you might go for, that runs telemetry anyways which you cannot turn off. They made sure that nobody can access this hidden OS that runs independently. So no matter what you do, if you have latest Intel chips, you will never be in control or be on top of anything. All verified facts my friend. Do some deeper research and stop promoting / defending evil.

The hacks do exist, they just dont completely kill telemetry like you claim they do which is a verifiable fact and has been demonstrated by IT experts using external measuring devices. Data was still sent into the cloud 500+ times a day after these hacks you speak of were applied. I didnt accuse you of lying or anything. Just stating facts. Research it yourself and find out im telling the truth or stay ignorant thinking you succesfully turned off all telemetry with those hacks when that's not the case. The only person you are fooling is your own self. Food for thought.

I have an offline desktop Ryzen PC as my music production workstation with a modified Win 7 OS. It has never seen the internet before and never will. The beauty of an offline PC for music production is that you can completely kill windows update, firewall, pretty much everything that is running in the background = more resources for making music. For internet purposes i use a laptop. Im not stupid. Will stick to Win 7 until there wont be any security updates anymore. Support for Win 7 ends January 14th 2020. Exactly one year from today. Then i will upgrade to Win 8 and i'll be good for another 3 years till 2023. Only then im forced to upgrade again, lol. Sure i will have to upgrade to Win 10 at some point but only my laptop which i use for internet purposes. I will forever use a modified Win 7 on my main offline Music Production PC until the day i die.

To Epic Showdown - I'm guessing that there will be a Microsoft OS AFTER Windows 10. I know, I know. There's no proof but I've gotta hunch. HaHa!! And if Microsoft starts trying to force people to do things that should be under their control, then another platform will rise up and take them OUT. NOBODY forces me to do ANYTHING.
