I was trying to fathom out whether this is any different to Cubase 9 Vari Tab tool which brings up a surprisingly similar window when compared to Celemony Melodyn. Somebody will tell me I'm missing something? No doubt I've lost this plot somewhere

Melodyne Polyphonic, Variaudio “currently” only Monophonic, among other things. There is no doubt Melodyne is the big cheese for pitch shifting but this version is not cheap, it’s the same price as a copy of Cubase Pro while Variaudio is included in the price of Cubase. Depends if you play by the book or not. Anybody tells you Studio One is better than Cubase because it has AR1 support usually has an R2R copy of Melodyne or very deep pockets.

Thank you. I've used Melodyne in the past for retuning a ludicrously out of tune choir so your explanation is so much appreciated. Never had the need to use the vari tab tool in Cubase so never thought of it this way
