One of the most expressive and realistic Cello on the market.

Based on our proprietary SWAM-S engine, a powerful Physical Modeling technology derived from the Digital Waveguides approach.

SWAM-S stands for Synchronous Waves Acoustic Modeling – Strings.

Differently from SWAM, sound is generated by pure Physical Modeling, so there are no samples at all.

We have performed an in-depth study of the Physical Modeling techniques, especially the Digital Waveguides Synthesis by prof. Julius O. Smith. Using this technique, adding new elements and performing an unceasing fine-tuning, we have built the best modeled Bowed Strings virtual instruments on the market, allowing the real-time control of bow speed, bow pressure, bow position, vibrato, portamento, harmonics, tremolo, pizzicato, and many other parameters in a realistic way, almost indistinguishable from the real instrument.

v2.0.1:

- Expanded string tuning range: lower string from F to G
- Increased the onset detuning ("Random Finger")
- fix: wrong Instruments sort on macOS
- fix: wrong pitch bend for double stops (Double, Double/Hold, Auto)
- Fix: backward compatibility with older .swam presets
- Fix: wrong settings opening, closing and reopening quickly the GUI (Windows only)

As far as I understood, these swam products needed a wind expression controller, to work properly.
Is that feature no longer necessary, or does it continue the same?

@ColombiaMu they still use controller
what they say is the best way to use them but you can set the plugins up
to use any midi input like your mod weel.

If I play it solo I'm convinced - but when compared to good sampled cello it sounds like half-synth half-sampled and has too much bass. It is not a good argument the developers are saying 'no need for gigabytes of samples' when gigabytes are so cheap today and ssds so fast - but maybe these synthesized transitions (which are good) cannot be accomplished with too many samples. I stick with vsl.

Yo intente usar este plugin vst con la guitarra a traves de MIDI GUITAR 2 jam origin , como controlador midi y no funciona, me pide un controlador de expresion, que estoy haciendo mal,,,?

Tiene que haber algo que controle el volumen, es el CC 7 sino, no se oirá.
Desde MIDI GUITAR 2 jam origin no creo que sea posible.
Intenta grabar una orden de CC7 en la misma pista para que se lo envie cuando haces play.
