I would assume, as its a cut & paste version, you could install it over any version :) Just make a copy of what your copying over and put it to one side and try it and if by some reason it doesn't work, then you can put it back again :)

I updated from Auditor 5.7.3 with copy/paste. Now it says Kontakt 5 Player.
I also installed the Portable 5.8 from today 16.4.2018 and so I have both of them in my DAW (Samplitude Pro X3, Win10 x64).

first find out which method and team is used in this symlink pack...auditor is emulazed...i dunno dude..

i installed new auditor on c and old r2r on d in past , but that was dumb..i just use auditor for all libarys now

I currently have version 5.7.3 I would like to know if I can install this version kontakt 8 without having problems? Is it stable and reliable? Does it work well or is it better to wait? Thank you.

Working fine here. They removed the "add libraries" button from the GUI but you can use the Add Library.exe (program files/common/ni/kontakt5) no problem.

edit: there's an option to Add Libraries under the Help menu, so no need to run the .exe file outside Kontakt
