Team R2R | Feb 19 2017 | 8.3 MB
VSS3 is the most professional tool of its kind, the Stereo Source Reverb behind tens of thousands of films, TV shows, albums and unforgettable tracks.

The Sound You Want

VSS3 Native is the most realistic and versatile reverb ever made for your DAW. With a wealth of possibilities to adjust, it will deliver the precise sound you need.

Choose a preset for quick and no-fuss reverb delight - or move in depth to take full control of the early reflections, body and tail of your reverb.

We call it "crazy tweak-ability".

Why in 2017 it doesn't remember its settings?
Saving and loading in its own way (handled by the plugin it self, not the daw) is too 1980ish... .

Tried it and didn't like it very much. VerbClassic Suite has the System 6000 and much more in one plugin.

Admit it, you're listening with your eyes, not your ears. ;) I'm accustomed to listening with my ears as I use GUIless and funky or simple looking plugins most of the time. GUIless look can be easily achieved in Reaper and I use that a lot. Eyes can deceive the brain, I tell you!

SineWave, it's not about the GUI, the VSS3 is objectively a different algorithm than the one sampled in Verbsuite - in particular, it takes stereo signal, converts it to mono, then to stereo again. It has the same presets because they are the same in other reverb models in the TC 6000. Personally I don't quite like the sound of this plugin as well. Still waiting for that Relab.

Didn't AudioUTOPiA release the LX480 full? Or do you mean the VSR-S24?

There are SO many reverbs already out there. Is none of them fitting you? Lexicon, B2, Overloud, Sonnox, Slate, D16, NI, Eventide, Exponential Audio, PSP. Voxengo, Valhalla Fabfilter. Hofa etc. etc. etc.

Yeah, I mean the VSR. I'm pretty satisfied with the reverbs I have, but interested in hearing the VSR, and I don't like demo versions.

You are correct about that, the one rule most people fail to learn. Same goes for the outboard gear - don't fall for too many bright lights and LEDs !

May have to try this and the other (former PowerCore/System 6000) plugs when/if they hit Mac. I'm actually unpacking my old Konnekt 24D and daisy-chaining it to my PT interface just for a couple of extra preamps and for the powered/exclusive plugs. I always wanted to try these out! Now, if TC could just somehow put out an updated native version of Works ...

By the way, for anybody not really getting an in-your-face reverb from these things, TC's verbs are usually very transparent and vanilla. They're usually best used as your stock room/hall reverbs, which then allows you to use a nice splash of plate or something more showy for instruments you want to stand out, like a lead guitar, piano or horns.

M3000 Presets for VSS3 Native. A lot of presets, work fine. No need to have TC gear, PowerCore etc.
