Wave Arts Tube Saturator 2 v2.10-R2R screenshot

Team R2R | Nov 14 2016 | 101 MB
Tube Saturator 2 is a super accurate circuit simulation of a tube pre-amp with analog EQ, which can be overdriven gently for warming effects, or cranked for fat distortion. Like its predecessor, Tube Saturator, TS-2 is based on circuit simulation techology to capture every nuance of an analog circuit. The circuit consisting of the individual tubes, resistors, and capacitors is converted into a mathematical system of equations which is numerically solved to produce the exact same sound as a real circuit. But while the original consumed large amounts of CPU power, TS-2 is now super efficient. The Saturation section of TS-2 runs about 7x faster than the original and yet the modelling is even more accurate. TS-2 includes the original circuit simulation of the three band Baxandall type EQ as found in many guitar amplifiers.

In addition to this breakthrough improvement in speed, TS-2 has many new features. You can switch between 12AX7 and 12AU7 tubes for different harmonic characteristics. The EQ can be switched to run pre or post saturation. Saturation and EQ are separately switchable. Also there is a 2x oversampling mode using a very high quality resampler algorithm. Use 2x mode to attenuate aliased distortion harmonics. Also new is a mix control to blend the processed sound with the original. And finally, TS-2 has a gorgeous new interface.

For more information via video demos, see the video introduction to Tube Saturator 2, and also see examples of applying Tube Saturator 2 to different sounds.

Tube Saturator 2.10

The principal new features are support for non-Pace/iLok licensing and support for VST3 format.

- Provides Wave Arts (non-Pace/iLok) licensing option using convenient online activation, just enter your serial and unlock key is automatically installed. You can register on up to three different computers and if you need more please ask. Offline activation is also supported. Pace/iLok licensing is used for AAX format and is optionally available for VST/AU formats, as before.

- Now supports VST3 format. Supports VST2, VST3, AAX, and AU (Mac only) formats, 32 and 64-bit.

- Complete code rewrite from ground up using a new application framework.

- New user preset manager facilitates naming and organization of user presets.

- New preferences manager allows setting of knob drag style and optional knob value popops.

- New installers for Mac and Windows with simplified options.

- DC-offset of saturation section is now filtered.

Thanks but... it doesn't work as expected for me, because I can't retrieve "User Presets" (by using "Save As", then close TS2 plugin, then reopen it). Same issue by using both VST or VST3 (64-bit only), tested from REAPER v5.28 x64, Studio One 3 (v3.2.3) x64 and Live 9 Suite v9.6 x64 (VST2 only Live doesn't support VST3) - PC Windows 7 SP1 x64. I don't know if I'm alone or not to have this problem.

Unfortunately, same behaviour here on Win7 x64 & Ableton Live 9.2.1 (32-bit)...But its not a big deal for me, cause i "save" the preset with Live9 project, so that it reopens in state as it was last time. No problem.

Thanks for your reply and your experience, Postih, I'm not alone. Of course, personal settings are kept when I save project, I confirm this (I'm using REAPER x64, and it works fine, fortunately). Thanks!

Really I'm using (mainly) SDRR (Klanghelm) as saturation plugin (bought six months ago for 22 euros). Tube Saturator 2 is only for testing => excellent distortion/saturation plugin, however.

I'll give a try to SDRR...heard good things about it...but...i dont know....theres just something special about this TS2 sound...Maybe colouring...but also depth...especially with some light EQ boosting...hmm...realy like it though...i will buy it...of course...when i got some money money...thanks for SDRR reference. :)
