EDIT-2: IT DOESN'T WORK .... I was convinced it was an installer of version 12.7 but instead it was the first release of waves 12! Probably 'manta' used this system to make a roll back from version 12.7 to not download the last working file advertised by Audioz!
The AU format still doesn't work and I'm convinced that Waves has added extra protection to the 'WavesLocalServer.bundle' file. Now I trust that the VR team can try to study the problem and maybe solve it with some brilliant solution! We need an updated patch, an updated keygen from R2R and a crack for the 'WavesLocalServer.bundle'!

Obviously this is my opinion... In conclusion, don't use this system unless you want to go back to the initial version of Waves 12.0 without downloading any files via Audioz. If you don't have the patch, then you have no choice!

Your right I didn't realize its a rollback, though not a full to the the initial V12 state, the download from waves is -> Waves V12.0 - 17.2.21
Also to elaborate on my deleting waves files: - I deleted the waves folders from -> shared users -> root library -> user library and applications.
Hope you get it to work.

Because you don't have active official licenses! I am convinced that those who bought some original plugs have no problems validating them with the appropriate application!

Thanks anyway bro .... I had the last working file downloaded through Audioz, so I went back to where I was .... everything works perfectly. We await a definitive solution from who can do it!

I went to waves and downloaded the plugins as demos. Then I ran the patch. I got an email saying my demos expired, after 10 days. I checked the plugins, and they’re still working. I have a Mac running Catalina.

I thought if you use waves central and install from there, and don't run the patcher, they would be demos? Isn't that the same thing? Weird about the email.

I had to go to the website, go to the plugins and press the get demo button. That added the demo license to waves central, which in turn allowed me find the plugins with the Waves Reg AU utility.

Oh ok, but after you run the Au Utility and it finds the Demo's, do they disappear in Logic as soon as you apply the Patch?

I set my account to the betas. Now when I open Waves Central, what do I do to get those betas as registered betas. Just select them to install there as usual updates?

What happens next update when the beta period is expired I wonder. Hopefully hope for a better patch by then I guess.

Yep that’s what I did. I didn’t use the betas though. I think Waves is trying to improve on their security measures. When you open your account go to license you should see them there. Activate them and download them. You should see them with the Reg tool and run the patch.

Can someont help me with this?
I've downloaded this from 4 different file servers now and all of them seem to be protected by a password.
The rar file is password protected.
I thought this was just the file servers messing with the file for some time but it's not.
I've tried downloading with a vpn, and the same thing happens.

Am I missing something here?
Is there a common password to all the rar files on audioz?

I'm just not sure what happens after the demo period is up for the next update, where it will say you already have the demo, and I'm not sure if after a normal "update" via waves central then if it will still work or revert back to the patching problem for AU's.

But, in any case the result is 12.7 that works in Logic for now. Just demo the Mercury Bundle and Pianos Bundle and Bass Instruments and one or two other ones not in Mercury. Yes you need to be logged in to a free account on Waves to get the demos, and use the same account log in on Waves Central.

I've done the same thing too and everything works perfectly (this reinforces my theory about adding one or more extra protections by Waves). There's only one thing that isn't working and that is the StudioRack Plug. For some reason it's not validated in any format (AU-VST-VST3-AAX). Does the same thing happen to you too? I've already tried some solutions but they haven't had any positive effect on the problem! Thanks in advance for any useful information you can provide me about it!

Thanks anyway bro! I solved! Unfortunately it's not enough to download and install it! You need a free account! A license must be requested and deposited on the account free of charge. You launch Waves Central, log in, and via Waves Central you install StudioRack and authorize yourself!

For Those who tried to make it work in Windows & Studio One v5
after downloading the Waves v12 complete from here

all working perfectly for me after a new full scratch installation
in this exact Steps:-


Make A Free Account in waves site here :-
https://www.waves.com/create-account

Install Waves Central v12.0.16 (the Latest version) from the main waves site
(not the one in the package here)

Open (Waves Central) ---> choose login ---> insert your account info
Go to all Plugins ---> choose any one & install it

Close (Waves Central) ---> doesn't matter to restart PC or not

Block Studio One by firewall first !! or just disconnect cable !!

Open Studio one
---> let it scan for new VST's & also go to locations and put the Waves default Plugin Path :-
C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves

Try to use it inside Studio One
---> it will fail from opening because it will not find any valid License since no internet connection!!
---> close Studio one or your DAW

Close waves process in task manager
(WavesLocalServer.exe)
C:\ProgramData\Waves Audio\WavesLocalServer\WavesLocalServer.bundle\Contents\Win64
--->then Install the (Waves VR-Patch)

Open (Waves Central) ---> choose Offline
---> point to the Waves Folder inside the VR-Team Package you downloaded from here
Choose any from what you like or all of them (including v10 , v11 , v12) ---> install

Repeat installing (VR-Patch of the waves)

Open Studio one ---> Try to use any v12 Plugins


Only (Waves Studio Rack) appeared inside Studio One !!

But, all other Waves V12 Plugins didn't apear inside Studio one like : Vocal Bender , all others !!
--> but all of V12 Plugins appeared from inside Waves Studio Rack !!
may be they are enclosed to be used through this way!!

I did as Sharp said and in Reaper or Cubase, I've got a blank window with the Waves Interface but if I choose the UI, I can see all commands. Anyone knows how to solve the problem ?

I installed on a clean system.
I used the waves shell unpacker so i can sort in to separate folders & sees plugins fine.

Does anyone know what bundles will give you the complete plugins list if demoed?

It looks like we only need the one WaveShell1-** 12.7 plugin or are others needed? I have some plugins not having NKS presets for Komplete Kontrol.
